Hey guys. I Recently bought a 1gb. It is a manual. But the po put an auto motor in with 5speed trans. Seems to have a crack in turbine housing, it doesn't run right, almost like fuel cut. Would all i need is a 14b turbo and mani, 450cc injectors and manusl ecu? Confused here.

Still cant seem to reach redline or full boost but it no longer falls on its face at wot. The problem now is when i hit boost my tires break loose up untill 3rd gear. Crappy tires maybe. Once i hit about 5-6k rpm it sort of just stays there and have to shift. No bucking or hesitation.

Car doesn't care where the motor came from. It cares what sensors and injectors you have. Choose ecu accordingly. There really is no such thing as an auto or manual motor. Basic longblock is the same. Different injectors, manifold, turbo etc.

If you're still on the 13g, it won't really pull much past 5-5500.

Sounds like you've got the bigger problems out of the way, I'm wondering if the maf is reading correctly.

If you can afford it, getting an ecmlink setup would be beneficial. you could log information that makes diagnosis much easier. If not, make sure your mechanical timing is correct, coolant temp sensors are functional, tps/biss/base timing are correct and all basic maint. is done. Also perform a BLT to check for any leaks. I don't believe the auto ecu should have any I'll effects at this time, since 1gs used a separate tcu to control the trans.

You're on the right track, keep plugging away

I do have the 13g still on it. With a 2g mani,450cc injectors, and manual fpr. Its pulls untill 5k-6k then just doesn't go anywhere. Cant rev past that. A lot of new sensors hsve been replaced. New parts also. Except wires... ill try that. I do know the hot side has little cracks in it, right where its banded to the turbo. Have not checked internal though. It doesnt burn or leak oil anywhere or consume it. Gas mileage is decent so its got to be something small im missing.or is a small crack on hot side cause alot of issues?

Mines not far off, 14b @18 psi I get 6-6500 and there no pull left. These little turbos run out of breath pretty quick, and without some cam timing tricks you won't see any power higher really. free revving sure you can hit 7k, but on a pull it'll be worthless.

If there are exh leaks, you can address those, but it sounds like a turbo upgrade/swap and link should be you're first purchases as long as the maintenance is done.

Also, if this says anything but my stock oil pressure gauge drops at idle and reads normal

when driving. The temp gauge doesnt read any farther than this pic. Never over heats, no coolent smell. Oil is good everyday i check it. Heard these gauges fail all the time. My first 1g fuel gauge didnt work, luckily this one does haha. Yes that's almost 50k miles on body LOL. Doesnt look like it though unfortunately.

My stock boost gauge only reads about 10/11 psi. Probably off too idk. I need more parts LOL. I love these cars but hate when its my daily.for (fow anyway).i wonder if MAP performance can help me. There only 40 miles from me. Just to check it over and rule out possibilities.

That's fairly normal on the oil gauge, mine does the same, tho I have an aftermarket gauge to monitor exact pressure.
My temp gauge sits in the same spot when up to temp and I have zero issues, so I'm going to assume you're fine there as well if it's not overheating or anything.
The stock boost gauge is worthless. Mine functions but is nowhere close to accurate. 0 on my gauge is about 5psi on my aftermarket boost gauge, they're not reliable.

You could always take it to a shop, but the issues you're having aren't major and you could save a lot of money just doing small stuff yourself. All depends on your level of expertise and comfort.

I can do just about anything but internals and tranny work. It is my 2nd dsm so i am familiar with how most things work. Problem is all these little things need to get to get done asap and know what exactly is wrong with it before i buy all the parts at once. Wish someone local could help. If not ill get it done LOL. Feels like it should pull harder even tho basically stock. My first 1g had a 14b and pulled waaay harder. 13g has to go asap i think
