I am really at a loss for what direction I want to take the color scheme in the car. I have narrowed it down to a few choices. You can vote in the poll or just add it in a reply. I know this is purely an opinion based thread but I could use them right now.

The color of the car, as it sits, closely resembles the Mitsubishi electric blue from the Evo. I've got a CF hood and hatch. Right now the bay is all black with chrome uicp and chrome avid motor mounts. What color combination would you use in the bay? VC, UICP, BOV, WG, etc.

Personally I would stay with just two colors, all the big items black and the rest blue. Also get rid of all the chrome. I plan to get a white dsm and do a black and white only theme.

picking a color scheme is never easy but my favorite color is blue and chrome always looks good so thats my choice. i pretty much went with blue and chrome on my car so its easy for me to choose LOL. then if you do interior you can go with like black (carbon fiber) and gray or black and blue to tie it all in.

I agree with sticking with two colors. I stuck to black with red accents on my car. I say go blue and black in the bay and CF accents where possible

You don't HAVE to stick with two colors, as long as everything ties in. I, personally, am tucking and shaving my bay, bay will be painted graphite, as will my wheels. Calipers and vc will go burnt Orange, and everything else satin black. Mind you its a panda 1ga.

But it really comes down to what colors you like and what you can make work together.... AND, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.. if you like it, who cares what others think looks good.

if you already have chrome, i think that gives it a super clean looking kinda look. not sure how the blue would accent it, but i like the chrome/smoke sorta of color also. Black looks good on everything. as you as you keep it clean, the bay will end up nicly whatever color combo you pick (of the ones you have listed). rock whatever combo you chose:hellyeah:

Thanks for the input everyone. I think I am going to go with gloss black instead of satin and chrome. I'm already going to have a lot of blue and black on the interior of the car and my entire bay is mitsu electric blue. I think I'm also going to stick with chrome piping, bov, wg etc. I might just get the calipers mitsu electric blue to match the car.

honestly id go satin black. think about it, youll be in and out of that engine bay all the time. one scratch and you'll instantly regret it. plus if you have to respray, its simple =]

Hadn't thought about that but it's not too late to change it, LOL. I just really like the look of gloss black and chrome under the hood.

just curious, what kind of spray do you plan on using?

No spray here. Powder coat.

what color combo did you end up going with? no pics? tease!
