Been a member of this sit for a couple years finally finishing up the 6 bolt swap. I've been collecting parts for the last 2 years and I have pretty much everything for a fun fast car.
I have 2 motors for this car. The one I'm working on right now is a stock 6 bolt in a 97 Spyder gst.
I'm stuck on the CAS. Car will start and idle real rough and back fire. When I first bought the lemon it had a 6 bolt bottom end and 7 bolt head and intake. The guy has hard wired the CAS into the car. I'm assuming it's the 97 CAS.
I have dsm link not installed yet. I have the CAS adapter harness but there are no original CAS plugs in the car. Because it has been hacked up. I don't want to chop up my new adapter harness. My question is what's the best route to take?
Should this CAS work with a 92 6 bolt engine?
Get a whole new wiring harness?
Get a new adapter without plugs and hardwire it in?
would installing dsm link help this issue?
Just want to drive this car one time and I'll be happy.
