Well I have a 93 GSX auto only mod before now is a exhaust. All basic maintenance done.
So here is my current list of mods I am performing.

VRSF FMIC Short route
Went from a 13G turbo to a 14B with a evo 3 hotside.
Pacesetter Tubular Manifold.
2G MAF with 1G harness
AEM Wideband and Tru boost gauge
Have a palm data logger
SAFC 2

Within the next couple days a rewire of the fuel pump.

Thinking about installing Evo 9 560CC injectors.
Just wondering do you think it will give me enough of a boost to notice
Will it take much to tune with the safc2

I have owned a DSM for about 8 years just never modded any of them but have read hundreds and hundreds of post.
Understand how it all works for the most part

Thanks for any info with this setup and any advise in getting it to work.

One question for you, when you talk of replacing the 13G with a 14B...are you doing a full conversion? Manual ECU, 450cc injectors(stock automatic ones are 390cc), m/t fuel pressure regulator, etc? Don't just toss a 14B on and go, especially not with a 2G MAF w/o 550cc injectors or a way to control fuel. It pushed my 1G auto into the unsafe zone when I just slapped a 14b/2G exhaust manifold on it with no changes to the ECU or injectors.

Also, I would forsake the SAFC 2. If you're trying to save money, get your ECU socketed for $50 by ECMTuning, and then purchase a Moates.net Ostrich 2.0 for $185. Grab Jackal for it off of DS-map.net for $20, and then go. That's full control of the ECU, timing, air, fuel, etc, and a much better/easier to use logger than the Palm setup. You can even use the palm logging cable. :)

But, just to put things in perspective on my old 1G auto with no changes at all, 100% stock except for a full 14B swap(ECU, injectors, cams, etc), and a MBC set at 16psi with a rewired stock pump, I ran consistent 13.8-13.9's all day like it was my job. Dejon stock replacement UICP and LICP, hard intake pipe, walbro 255, 2G MAF, full exhaust, and Evo 560's with boost in the low 20's range, it ran 12.8's again, like it was its job. So all those parts properly setup together, with a proper tune and management of the engine will be a much more noticeable increase of power. Just read read read and search all you can. Research is your friend.

The 13G was starting to leak oil so smoked The 14B was a deal so I bought it. I won't be pushing anything right now. I was thinking of putting the 2g maf on and adjusting it with the safc 2 for now.
I do have the FMIC and a Dejon uicp that I am in the process of installing. the 2G maf is part of the Dejon setup I purchased is why I was going to add it. Another option is a 3" GM maf with a maft But heard to many bad things about the maft and changing air conditions.

Thanks for all the info so maybe the Ostrich is the way to go then.

The 2G MAF is designed for the 2G. You can use it, but it runs the AFR about 10-20% more lean than the stock 1G unit. In order to fix this you gotta balance it out with injectors, but the SAFC 2 works as well if you add fuel, just remember not to touch any kind of settings until you have a wideband to tune off of. Also ECMLink V3 is a great option too, but significantly more expensive at $545 for the chip, and $50 for the socketing service.

All that should give you a good boost. The afc will work, it's just older tech and kinda limited. You can get your fuel in shape but won't be able to control timing. Your pump will be your limiting factor and won't be able to go over 15psi or so.

Ya i will be looking to go for more power in the future. I got all these parts for dirt cheap. Also this will be the car my son will do street legal jr racing in next year.

So i am thinking a new pump very soon then since it will be the limiting factor.

Just to update I have installed a 190lph pump and the 560cc injectors. I have not fired the car up because I am actually replacing the fuel pump hanger and waiting for the jpipe.

Just wondering someone offered me a MAFT with the GM MAF for $70 is that better than a SAFC2 for tuning or can I use one to tune and the other to fine tune?
Also does changing air conditions cause the MAFT tune to change?

I recently bought a 1g manual. The po said he swaped an auto motor with 13g and 390cc with auto ecu. It doesn't run right. Boost leak in turbine. Would all i need is a 14b turbo and mani with 450cc injectors and a manual ecu? Its got me stumped. Sorry to bomb your post. I am new here.
