I used black leather seats out of a RSX type S in my eclipse. Came out really good but required me to build custom brackets. The mounting plates offered by Sparco and others put the seats up too high for my liking. You can get low profile brackets made by Wedge Engineering for any seat pattern but they are expensive.
I've heard some good things about Cipher seats for a budget aftermarket option.
Otherwise Corbeau is good stuff along with Sparco, Recaro, etc.
I have a pair of Cipher seats and quite like them. Corbeau has actually knocked off a couple of their seats (or is buying from the same distributor). I have the Cipher CPA2002 which Corbeau offers as their RRX for $300 more.
The build quality on the Cipher seats is fine, I have no concerns with them. I'd be interested to see the frame of the Corbeau but the cipher is quite solid. My guess would be the difference comes from manufacturing quality (or so I'd hope). I would not want to be in a cipher seat in any sort of accident.

Status Carbon Kevlar. A bargain at only $2k a piece with harnesses.
Bride Low Max are my ultimate... The want is strong there. A good question to be answered first before recommendations would be are the seats used for dd, track, etc.? That could help narrow down the types of recommendations.
I will get some pictures of my RSX seat mounts for you. The only complaints I have with those seats is that they are a little high in the car. But its nothing that a little cutting and welding of the seat frame wouldnt fix.
I got 7th gen Celica seats from a local yard I've seen leather Celica seats looking pretty good in DSMs
I haven't mounted them yet. I am currently looking for information about what would be needed. If I find anything or get them mounted I'll let you know but it is looking like I'll either need custom brackets or modification to the stock ones.Did you have to have custom brackets made? If so did you make them yourself, any pics?
