Trying to put a DOHC swap parts list together and got stumped on the tensioner arm and idler pulley bracket. STM has them listed as MD195094 and interchangeable between 89-99. Is this a newer designed part or will an original 1g bracket and arm combo (that I already have) work with a 7bolt block as well?

Also when choosing a timing belt tensioner it's specific to the front case right? The 95 specific listing was throwing me off especially since I only saw one part number (MD327450, has been updated to 1211A160) for a front case listed. My truck would fall in to that early category.

Timing belt kit for an Galant ES
Timing cover for a 7 bolt engine
Clutch is just going to be an upgraded disk and pressure plate even with Starion trans
Does ARP make conversion 11m to 12m studs for a 6bolt head on a 7bolt block
(Head is ported built and ready to go with a RWD SMIM)
Adjustable cam gears to correct for extra timing belt tooth
Is RWD water pump and pipe a better option than a DSM pump and pipe? Where can I tap for turbo coolant line?

What else am I not thinking about?

Truck will be a 9:1 long rod 100mm stroke setup connected to a Starion hydraulic trans. non-turbo until the body brakes and suspension are done then probably an adapted Evo twin scroll turbo. I figure the head swap, plumbing challenges and the trans master and slave will keep me busy for a while.

The exhaust, intercooler and turbo stuff is a project for a little down the road.

I did a 4g64 Max several years ago.

Jay Racing carries many custom parts for the water neck and pump. Fair prices.

Also if it's 7 bolt just use the 11mm 7 bolt studs. They will fit loose through the head but the dowel pins are what really lines everything up anyways. If you're worried of the head being able to move side to side it won't happen.

Also I tapped the water pump with an, AN fitting for the turbo. If you buy this you can use stock DSM thermostat housing:

Also I had a 91 Mighty Max. My cam angle sensor hit the firewall. Just FYI, might not happen to you but I had this issue. I was using 6 bolt head and CAS.

Also I I think their are 5 deck holes that will need to be plugged/blocked on that 4g64 SOHC block.

If you use the 2ga crank and cam sensors you won't have the issue with clearance. I'm still using the oem clutch cable, and clearanced my firewall for my setup.
