So, long story short, I found a fantastic deal on a Talon TSI with AWD (manual, of course) I more or less want the vehicle for a weekend summer car. Always been a huge fan of DSM since my buddy owned a Laser RS 3 or 4 years ago. My issue is I'm looking at this car for 800 bucks, it's a great car that comes with a 4g63t 6 bolt. I'm looking at it tomorrow as he already warned me the rear end will need work due to rust. Now since I am out of practice with these vehicles is there anything -REALLY- major I should be worried about. I mean in the realm of a 4k cost, I know it needs a fuel pump as it's not getting fuel to the filter according to the owner, who is a mechanic I know, who refers work to me and me likewise to him. I mean, for 800 bucks is there anything that this car could have as the skull and crossbones to it's name, such as irreplaceable or super expensive parts.
Definitely going to need quite a list of items, as the owner has lost some parts, mostly plumbing for the radiator and air intake. Also going to need rear wheel bearings, and to do some sanding and painting on the sub frame.
