so my carrier bearing on the front driveshaft sheared off my my car. i just bought and noticed this lastnight and i bought it friday. so im kinda pissed. any help as to why it did this or does this please help.

I have no idea what you just said. Do you have some pictures of the damage/issue?

Worn out? That's generally the reason, combined with neglect. I wouldve expected some noise before it went TU.
Bummer, but start looking for another stock DS or go for a dss shaft.

well the frickin bolts sheared in the block so im pretty sure im going to have pull the motor to get them out

the 2 bolts that bolt the carrier bearing for the long driveshaft up front sheared off.

Did you have the correct bolts in it? The bolts have a small shoulder on the ends that align them in the block. If you installed the wrong bolts that likely contributed to them shearing off.

i have no idea what it had for bolts i literally bought it friday night. we were replacing the turbo yesterday and for some reason i looked on the back side of the motor and i noticed the bolts were sheared off one has like 5 threads out and the other is in the block. So kinda f***ed unless i pull the motor out because space is so tight back there.

Aaaahhh... now I see what you're talking about.

Take the downpipe and t-case off, then remove the drivers side axle, that'll give u plenty of room to assess the further needed repairs. You may be able to get vise grips on the one showing threads, the second you might need to pony up for a right angle attachment and bits for a drill, then easy out the bolt. Unless you want to pull the motor. With the right gusto I think you may be able to do this in-car.

Yes, that's the way it appears, he is referring to the jackshaft that is mounted on the drivers side of the AWD vehicles that slides into the transmission, NOT the carrier bearing on the driveshaft, It might be beneficial for someone to edit that information to save confusion in the future.

So quick question. CV shaft I look up online doesn't come with the carrier bearing or whatever bearing is there. So how do I go about getting it.
