I purchased a second Megan Racing short shifter to do some modifications to it and see how it works. I had 1-1/2 inches cut from it (shortened) and then had it tilted forward 25 degrees. After that I had another linkage pivot hole drilled in it equal distance from the other two and then had the bottom section and the last hole cut off. Also installed a Mishimoto weighted shift knob. Here is the result. Shifts beautifully. Tilting it forward gives some more leverage (keeps your arm at a better angle for shifting) and with it shortened and the new hole drilled, the shifts are super short. Couldn't be happier.

Did you get a chance to try it with the shifter post's angle in the upright position?

Curious to know how that changed where each gear "sits" (i.e. is getting into forward gears like punching the radio?)

Not exactly sure what you mean by trying it with the shifter post angle in the uptight position.

With it angled forward, first to second and third to fourth shifts now feel like you're pulling straight back instead of pulling down when you get past neutral. Hope that makes sense. Second to third shifts feel better too. Just seems to put your arm in a better ergonomic position. Got the idea from the 70's Mopar muscle car pistol grip shifters.
