Ok so to start off, I have already installed and successfully used the kit, my issue is that Im noticing that the battery light flickers on and off. When I rewired the alternator to the back I just extended the white/black wire that bolts to the alternator. Im starting to the think that I need to redo the wiring with 4 gauge directly to the fuse box. Is this normally how its done? I am now contemplating installing a Saturn alternator in place of the oem due to the increase amperage and lifetime warranty. How does the stock spacer in the kit compare to the Saturn. Ive been trying to get into contact with jays racing but they haven't picked up. I hope they will sell me the spacer and belt.

Do you have your extension wiring soldered? Just making sure you have solid connections. I extended my stock wiring with 4ga, stock alternator, and it's been holding up nicely.

yes, but I didn't use 4 gauge, im thinking that could be an issue. I think I used two 8 or 10 guage. So you just extended the wires around to the back. Im thinking of just running a shorter wire directly to the fuse box.

i would recommend just doing an all new charge wire to the fuse box. 8 gauge should be fine for that short of a run. use copper end lugs and solder them onto the wire.

mine is 8 gauge to a fuse block, then 2 gauge to the rear for my battery, but i dont notice any charge issues. 14-14.2 volts at the battery and the same at the front distribution block.

I wired the alternator to the fuse box with good quality 4 gauge wire, I grounded the alternator case to the back of the block. I installed a distribution block were I have my accessories wired into. The red wire on the gm harness i have wired into the distribution block. The wire I initially had installed "f" I believe into the 12v is now disconnected. I am happy to report im seeing 14.2v at idle with the fan running

Where did you run your black/yellow connector in order to get it to the back of the engine bay? There are a lot of hot/moving parts on that side of the engine. Also, were you asking about the adjustable bar? if you are talking about the spacer that sits on the two bolts then you can buy it and other sized spacers from stores like boltdepot. I know this because I dropped one and never found it again.
