Keep that thing out of the NY salty winters! Nice looking spyder though and good luck with your build. Had to look up "Walden" to see where the heck that was

Your title claims to be building something you aren't. In months since the "build" was first started, you have listed a bunch of parts on a wish list but done nothing to install them. We don't even know if you have sourced any of the stuff.
I encourage you to build to your goal, but be realistic. If you think I'm trying to be rude, imagine the responses I'd get if I started a build "Track build: Putting a 4g63T into a Ferrari." The first post would be "All I need is a 4g63T and a Ferrari." 5 months later, I've done some work here and there on a VW Golf, posted a few pictures, but have done absolutely nothing in effort to acquire an engine or chassis to begin my build because I have encountered an unwavering circumstance of the lack of time, finances or knowledge. "Some day I'll do it, I just can't tell you how or when." That's a bunch of "ricer" speak.
If bullying is what you like to call pointing out facts, than I guess I'll graciously accept your derogatory label.
Mini Update:
-March 5th, 2014-
Just a small update... On a smaller note I've been battling a problem of what I believe is being caused by the transmission. Once the cars been at running temp for a certain amount of time the car develops acceleration problems between the 1800-2600 rpm range. Under normal acceleration the car will accelerate and than hit a certain rpm and than start to slowly drop (foot is still on the gas) and than once it drops about 200-300 rpms the car starts to jerk and the rpms bounce. It goes away if you let off the gas or practically floor it. You could see how this would be annoying as following another car doing anywhere from 35-55 will be in that range for keeping your car at a consistent speed. Regardless after a lot of research I believe the transmission needs new fluid and a new filter. I ordered a new filter, OEM ATF fluid and a gasket for the pan from STM on monday night so hoping to have a lot done in the next week or two! Stay tuned!
You have a really nice car. Keep up the good work.
Just read the whole thread and love the car. I wish there wasn't the hate so there would have been more updates. Do you have pics of the awd swap? Either way great job and keep the updates coming.
I'm glad to see your back on here!
And it's good you didn't let the haters keep you from " your own build thread".
I can see you did alot!!! Car looks A-1!!!!!
Congrats bro, keep us posted!
Wow great job on the build so far. You've done more to your 2g in 1 year than I've done to mines in 9 yes haha. Keep up the great work. Do you know how much power your making now and boost level?
Not sure if you mentioned it but are u on e85? We have very similar setups so I'd like to see how we stack up. Man you've been busy on this build .
