Hey guys quick question, can I run the stock BCS with a Garret/mitsu T28? Also, I did the restricor mod to the BCS. Planning on putting in the new turbo Tuesday, along with a EGR plate i picked up from a member on here. Thank in advance

The Garret T28 is a direct bolt-on turbo. Yes, it will function as it should at stock boost levels connected to the OEM BCS. After install, be sure to complete a BLT.

The T28 has a 15 psi waste-gate actuator, while the OEM BCS restricts the PSI to 12-maybe 13ishPSI with the restriction mod, SOOO wouldn't the actuator never release? That is why I am confused, please clear this up for me man

Wastegate should still open at 15psi with the bcs connected, allowing the pressure to pass by at 12-13, with the wastegate not opening fully till 15, granted it may start to crack open before that

You can test the actuator. If you happen to get a 17 psi actuator, you can swap it with the t25 actuator without issues. When I had removed the restrictor from the OEM BCS, my boost would spike to 15 psi. If you have the 15 psi actuator, you will be fine.

If your profile is accurate, your stock bypass valve (BOV) will leak well before that. I may also suggest going with the Evo MR bypass valve (1545A001). I would also consider rewiring the fuel pump as well.

They say the wastegate actuator is calibrated at 12 PSI heres the link

On SALE! WooHOO!!

The BCS restrictor removal mod should put me just above that. I was worried about compressor surge, but It seems that I am okay, thanks for all the fast responses guys.

I went with this turbo to have the peace of mind that comes with having brand new (vs used) components and to preserve the reliability of my car, I have a nice MBC laying around my work bench somewhere so IF I get bit by the horsepower bug I wil go ahead and turn up the Boost from there, My previous turbo the T25 was blown (compressor surge) due to the PO's lack of intelligence, link here - http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/idle-issues-bov-cap.502493/

My build is unique because I am trying to restore this car with minimal modification. but What Was I supposed to do buy another T25?? :D

Why would I rewire the fuel pump? I got the T28 from Extreme PSI, they claimed that no other mods would be needed

It is a well-known issue that the OEM wire size supplying current to the fuel pump is insufficient when increasing load (turning up boost). The rewire using larger gauge wire, is the solution that works well even for the stock fuel pump. To me, this is one of the basic upgrades to provide consistent voltage increasing both pressure and volume from the fuel pump.
