Looks good. How do you reach into that tight section between the tubing?Just stick the tungsten out until it reaches far enough? What size cup and how much argon are you flowing when you do it??

I'm using a furick bbw cup, 30cfh argon 8cfh backpurge stickout for between the pipes is around 1.5-2" color would have been better if i wasnt at the ass end of my bottle.

So i got some more practice in today on the mid pipes for the Stratos, i decided to try a variaty or ways out a d think i found a better way i like and works well for me. Biggest change was swapping the filler wire down to 1mm instead of 0.8mm or 1.6mm this made a huge difference for a start. Next i set the amps to around 35 amps and just adjusted to suit so when i went full on the pedal it made a nice puddle and not blow a hole through it! This worked well and i feel more in control doing it this way,

My stop starts still need some work but my runs are getting better and cleaner and more consistant with being level and almost the same width on the run,

Still more practice to be had but im happy i made this progress.

This isnt a welding post but anyone have a good recommendation for a 7x12 wet bandsaw? Looking at baileigh bs712M or the jet equivilent.

This is the saw that I use in my shop. It's the perfect size for what I do. And the geared head is very nice - no more screwing around with belts. I have only two complaints with it; 1) It's slightly overpriced because of the Baileigh name. Competitors comparable models are just as nice and usually a little cheaper. 2) I do not like the mounting configuration of the hydraulic cylinder. IMO, the cylinder should be mounted between two rigid parts, such as the cast head and the cast bed. The area where the lower part of the cylinder attaches on this Baileigh saw is just thin sheet metal and it can deflect badly. Though with a different bracket, it can easily be changed to mount between the bed and head. My last saw was set up this way, so I know the parts are available.

If I could do it all over again, I would have bought this one instead: http://www.grizzly.com/products/7-x-12-Geared-Head-Metal-Cutting-Bandsaw/G9743

Got a new 30 amp dual voltage plasma cutter in stock. Vipercut. Made by Razorweld.

Anyone want one? Stupid low price of 350 shipped

Also stay tuned for the new tig welder that is going to be added to my product line shortly
When i get state side, i shall be hitting you up for some cutters and some new welders as i doubt mine will work unless i can get single phase power and adjust the garage to adapt to my welder.

Sure thing. They just released a Tig that's supposed to be great. Keep in mind they make the CK worldwide welder too.
Mine will be here next week. Pricing is supposed to be $1675 but I will let any DSMer have it for only $1400 shipped!!!
200 amp, AC/DC, dual voltage, pulse, selectable tungsten size for smoothest starts.
More details to come when it arrives

Only been messing with a TIG for maybe 10 hours or so of actual weld time. I work in a sheet metal fab shop, doing fab work and being trained to weld as well. :)

Yeah, finally made the investment on the Dynasty and sold my Lincoln.

I also finally finished plumbing air in my shop. Just put the finishing touches on it last week. It was my first time sweating copper. Couldn't believe how quick and easy it was. I'm loving this drier/separator too. I wish I would have had one of these years ago.

Not bad. I think I am going to try out the rapidair system unless I can find copper dirt cheap

Copper does offer one major benefit over any polymer. It helps cool the air charge down so that the moisture in aerosol condenses and forms larger droplets. The separator and drier system needs this to function efficiently. I bought my copper from Lowes in February. I don't remember the exact cost per foot, but I bought 50 feet of 1/2" and a pile of elbows and tee's for around $100. That was cheap enough for me. I spent way more than that on 4 ball valves and a drier.
