If the compressor blades are contacting the compressor housing, that's obviously bad. If the turbine shaft is that lose, the turbo could absolutely be leaking oil past the bearings. Pull the O2 housing off and check the turbine side for oil.
What turbo is this?
ebay t3
ok thanksWell, there's you problem.
You've had a bunch of different threads, each outlining a different issue with your car. No offense, dude, but you're in way over your head on this car. You got an $800 dollar DSM, in the most literal sense possible. You're probably looking at triple that amount of money to get this car where it needs to be.
For starters, go make a DSM profile so people can do a better job helping you. I know you said you don't know a lot about the car's mods and such, and that's fine. Put down what you do know, and as you figure things out, update your profile as you go: http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/welcome-to-dsmtuners-now-go-create-a-dsm-profile.499707/
After you create a profile, make a list of all the issues you're currently having with the car.
Next, make a list of maintenance items that you have done. A well maintained car will be much less troublesome: http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/dsm-maintenance-guide.476550/
After you get your maintenance up to speed, I think your best course of action here would be to try and return the car to stock. Judging by the parts the PO used before you, most of the mods were cheap junk anyways. By removing all of these, you'll not only remove any issues they're creating, but also give yourself a clean slate to start building again. In the process, you'll gain some experience and knowledge wrenching on the car.
Lastly, give the link below a read and as always, if you have any questions, just ask: http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/common-mistakes-and-misconceptions-by-newbies.89000/
getting rid of the ebay turbo wouldn't be a bad idea. if you get a better turbo and it still smokes you can move onto the valve seals and rings. and if it does still smoke at least you got rid of one of the biggest problems in the process, an ebay turbo being on the car
