Hi, just upgrade my t25 to a 16g after rebuilding my engine. The rebuild costed me so mutch that more upgrades have to wait. So im planing on running around 15-16psi on the 16g on stock fuel system and smic. "keep it safe"?

Could i expect my car to be stronger than with the T25? Or is 15psi to low for the 16g?

My goals is not to high but i hope i can feel the difference until i can afford a datalogger injectors fmic ect..

T25 on my car now

Why you revived this thread for that is a question is a bit silly.

The classifieds are your friend.

ebuild kits are ~$60 and you would need a compressor wheel.

I also have a "blown" t25 that I just took off for my E316g swap. It is in roughly the same state as the classified above. Either way you will be in ~200$ for a turbo, rebuild kit, and compressor wheel. you gotta pay to play.

Because i was considering upgrading turbos i was told my t25 couldnt be rubuilt and yes i know good and well it cost money to play but right now i just dont have the money for it and the talon is my only car

Hey Seth I'm in Arizona and there are a few listings in Craigslist here for some stock 2g turbos. I can see if I can help u out there. Also man I have like 3 14bs one of which u may have for free just to help u out. U will need am install kit however. Pm me or let me know what route u want to take I'm here to help.

Boostdawd how much r the stock turbos going for or would i be better off buying a rubuild kit for mine but my concern is when the shaft went out on mine the turbine hit the housing so i dont know if its able to be rebuilt or not

Not even worth rebuilding if you have to replace almost every part. Sounds like you would need a new turbine shaft, housing depending how bad it's groved, most likely compressor wheel and rebuild kit. I would source a 14b and run that before spending to rebuild a t25 ;). 14b will bolt on with a few simple parts changed.

What all changes would need to be done and would the car need to be tuned ?

The 14b has a jpipe so you need that and piping to make it work. Also need the oil feed off the head not the ofh. So you need a line and a plug for ofh. And the oil return is slightly diff you can either get a 1g or mod the 2g. Other than that it will bolt up and work great. They run around 14psi in stock form and that's fine on a 2g. Anymore with stock fuel your pushing it. 14b's when done right are awesome turbos. I have my gvr4 on the stock one still, tuned on pump to 18psi right now and it's fun. Thing pulls hard and boost is solid till redline ;) I've been autox with it lately and it's fricken quick.

There's a few here going for 200 but im sure they will take 150 or so. Or you can go the route for the eBay 16g. I have no experience with it but research shows people have success with them. The 14b that I have comes with a j pipe and coolant lines now that I checked. No shafts play and looks great aside from a few seized turbo bolts :ohdamn:

So i wont need to change the manifold just a few new piping parts, new oil feed and return

As long as the boost is kept moderate it does not require additional tuning. Of course tuning will ensure u get every last bit of power but if u don't road race or push it too much it will work just fine. Do a search and u will come across several threads of what is involved.

R the 14bs in good shape and how much would u want for one i live in North Carolina

Depending on your J-pipe you may need an elbow and extension to get to your SMIC. There are several places where you can get those for cheap.

You will also need gaskets for the exhaust side. I made of list of most of what I used for my 16G swap with links to some of the parts. You would need similar stuff for a 14b.
