After sitting for 5 years I finally got my 98 Talon AWD back running, unfortunately since I got a battery back in it the ABS light is always on, and it's obvious after autocrossing the car, that the ABS isn't working. The fuse is ok, the speed sensors & harnesses look good, but the following plugs are near the ABS unit and are no longer plugged in. Any idea what these are for?
Would someone with an OBD II scanner be able to tell me what's up with the ABS light?

Thanks luv2rallye.
Turns out I have a short circuit in the Left front speed sensor.
That means I may have a damaged wire and that is grounding out somewhere?

Well I just fixed the damaged portion of the sensor harness, and followed the reset instructions, and no joy.
Hopefully the sensor will come out of the knuckle easy, this car has never been driven in snow, and I just replaced all the hubs on the car, and a few knocks with a slide hammer got them all out.

Ordered a replacement abs sensor, crossing my fingers that it arrives before the next event.
Now there are only 8 front left sensors left in stock in the US.

Have you seen the way ileagle drives? The brake pedal cries when he stomps on it. ROFL

JK.
Furious Angels draw their swords every time I touch my brake pedal.
Not having ABS in my STX car is OK, it's never really going "fast".
I've only taken 2 runs in the SM car, and the extra hp is obvious.
Maybe I'll post a dyno sheet in the 68HTA thread.

The ABS diagnostic was for a front left wheel sensor short circuit, replaced the sensor, tried to do the reset but the ABS light is still on all the time. I've tried to find the ABS ECU and the shop manual I have shows it in the passenger footwell, but I'm not finding it there, any idea where it is on a 98 Talon?
