I installed a SS line from the Master Clyinder to the Slave Cylinder and I've had some strange results.
At the same time I installed a XACT flywheel, ACT street disk, and ACT Pressure Plate. I also rebuild the MC and SC at the same time with non-OEM parts (found a rebuild kit somewhere). The accumulator is bypassed and the line is direct from MC to SC.
At first, when pressing the clutch I could hear the PP springs making contact with the disk hub. Noise and vibration felt through the pedal.
I had to adjust the pedal and MC all the way IN (down) to make it stop. The opposite direction as per Jack's adjustment video.
Right now, I have the MC all the way in and the pedal adjusted ALL the way down so that it does not rub the PP springs against the disk hub.
However, the pedal now sits 2-3 inches lower than stock. It's adjusted so far, that the pedal helper spring is pulling it down. As a result, the pedal is EXTREMELY soft for the first 50% of travel (and it feels like a sponge), it then stiffens up as the clutch disengages.
What gives? Anyone else run into this before?
