I finally was able to start putting some things back in the engine bay. I am hoping to have the timing belt changed and a few gaskets and seals next weekend so that the engine can go back into the car.

Well it runs, and besides a few stupid minor little things, it runs damn well. I am so so so pleased with how things have turned out with it thus far. I have a few things to switch over yet and clean up, but I wanted to get the car running and driving before I made everything all tidy and exactly how I want it.

Valve cover I had powdercoated. I just need to attach the baffles yet before I install it.

I'll get some more pictures of the car tomorrow and the following days as more progress is made.

Well I've just been driving the car to school and for random drives around town and everything has been going super well. I need to get ambition to put in the walbro 255 fuel pump and work out the rest of the things I need to before I can start upping the boost and having some fun with the car. Even on wastegate pressure it feels really good on the butt dyno. I finally got around to installing my new to me valve cover that I had powder coated. Next up is to get my dejon intake pipe on, I'm just waiting on a coupler for that. Then I will be able to recirculate the blow off valve as well.

I grew up in Fond du lac, and cut my teeth racing at WIR and Great lakes. .... That pic of WIR almost made me misty eye'd. nice looking 2g and I really like that info plate under the hood ... I am going to try and get ahold of him for mine.

Well this past week I had a misfire under boost that turned out to be a bad spark plug wire. As well as my fuel gauge stopped working and a new fuel sending unit fixed that issue. Other than that, the car has been doing great! I took it to a pretty large meet that was 2 hours away this past weekend and it was great to just get in the car and have some fun.

Picture of my car and my girlfriend's srt4 from the meet this past weekend. This week I'll be doing a few other small things in preparation for Automotion, which is a huge car weekend every year in Wisconsin Dells.

Tonight I went to the hardware store and bought a DIY camber kit (m10x1.25x40 bolts with a bunch of washers) since the rear of the car had a bit of camber. I ended up putting 4 washers behind each bolt hole on the upper control arm. I also toyed around with evening out the front ride height between both sides.

More updates to come!

I was able to finally get my Dejon intake pipe on the car after waiting on the correct size coupler.

I got my windows tinted this past weekend which made a nice difference. I went with 35% all the way around, and the tinter did an amazing job!

More to come as always!

Well this past weekend was an amazing event called Automotion which is in Wisconsin Dells. It was my 7th year attending, and I had an absolute blast in this car. I even managed to win 1st place in the DSM category at one of the major car shows that goes on.

I had one of my photographer friends do a photo shoot of my car and I figured I'd share some of them with you guys and gals!

As usual there will be more to come!

So I went to race the car last month. On the way to the track, which is 5 minutes from my house, the clutch pedal felt a bit weak and it seemed to shift a tad hard. I thought I was just over thinking things like I tend to do with this car. As I was pulling up in line to be the next car to race, the clutch pedal cracked and sunk to the floor. The area around the pin for the master cylinder rod gave out again. I'm hoping to be able to race the car this coming Friday after that disappointing night.

Well I was able to purchase a few aftermarket parts after getting everything else worked out. First I found a great deal on a used set of GSC S1 camshafts. I decided on these based on personal experiences from some local guys with the same turbo I have. I installed them and found myself getting a lot of knock that I am still trying to work out, but am having little luck. When the ecu isn't pulling timing it feels as strong as ever, and these cams definitely were worth the money. Second, I decided on the rmdsm replica front lip on ebay. The fitment was great, and I love the way it looks on the car. I needed a little bit of an appearance upgrade.

Hopefully I can get the tune worked out a bit and get some time slips next week!

Well I was able to make 4 passes at the drag strip and I was fairly happy with how it went. I definitely need more driver mod, but for my first time with this setup I was pleased, and everything went smoothly. This track is considered to be a slow track by all that race here and another one that is about 2 hours away.

Well after fighting all sorts of knock while trying to make any power, I decided to make the switch to e85. I must say, I am absolutely blown away by the results. I am running 24 psi currently and running the stock timing table and the power difference from before is absolutely insane. The ecmlink hp and tq estimates increased by about 100 and it sure feels like that could be accurate. I definitely have more to get out of the setup yet, but this was the best thing I've done all year. :dsm:
