On my way from work i went to accelerate from a red light and it felt like my car had zero power. It would have been a normal accelerarion that had my car shifting around 3.5 to 4 grand (probably half throttle if that) so i then knew something was up. After that it seemed fine and the. Turning the last corner towards my apartment complex i laid into it and after a second or two somerhing happened and a ton of smoke started pouring out of the exhaust. Seems like all white smoke. What can this be? Can it be turbo related? I still have the stock t25 that spikes to 20 but stays flat at 15-16 psi. While in park i revved up to 6k and my boost gauge only hit around 4 psi and my bov sounded super super weak compared to how it normally is. Any suggestions and where do i start to look for my answer??

Dont know if itll help any but i pulled the intake off to check the tubro and it has a little shaft play side to side but not a lot.

30 minutes later... I checked to see if i could build boost in drive while holding the brake and it wouldnt. Maybe 1 or 2 psi.

Doesnt smoke at idle. Just when i accelerate or rev. I held it at 2500 rpms and let off then a couple seconds later it dumped smoke for like 4 seconds.

White smoke is always coolant burning in a cylinder. 9 times out of 10 it's a blown head gasket. A compression test would verify it. Also your lack of power points to it. The other 1 out of 10 would be coolant seeping into the turbo due to a crack or a blown seal.

Can a blown head gasket cause me to not build any boost?

If your cylinder won't hold pressure than your turbo isn't going to be doing to much. Do a compression test and find out what's wrong bro. You can also take your radiator cap off and run the car. If there's tons of bubbles the hg is toast. Also with the cap on if the coolant hose pressurizes within a minute than most likely hg is toast. But a simple compression test would tell you more of what's going on. If it passes than that t25 is toast. Which wouldn't surprise me spiking it to 20psi LOL.

It is also possible to have good compression but still have a HG problem. It is a great place to start though! My compression is 150-150-150-145 but am putting coolant in to the cylinder causing a very small amount of smoke. The two most probable option have been listed already but I agree to start with the compression test!

blue smoke = bad seals in the turbo, and a blown head gasket will only have mited amount of boost since the pressure is leaking through the bad portion of the head gasket. when my head gasket went out i would only have 5 psi. you can also do a leak down test or compression test to be 100% positive

I had a friend with a similar problem on a 95 GST. Ended up being a leak on one of the inter-cooler pipes, if I recall it was the lower pipe. Worth a check at least before you tear into an engine.
