I finally graduated from the 420a life and got a 98 GSX with roughly 37,500k miles... I've already invested into a new headgasket, water pump, water pump gasket, gates racing timing belt and camshaft belt, tensioners, pulleys, slave cylinder, ARP headstuds, supertech nitride valves, and some other things around that area I can't remember... previous owner had the car straight piped and added an injen cold air intake... I want to know if the engine can hanld 350 awhp and how would I get there?

Yes, I would say the 7 Bolt can take 400AWHP with those miles on it. First, get a Walbero 255LPH Fuel pump, and some 760cc Injectors. If you do that, you'll need a fuel pressure regulator, and a fuel management system. Second, get an 18G or 20G Turbo, and port the O2 Housing. While you have the exhaust manifold off, you can port it, or get a new Header. Once you get a bigger turbo, get bigger intercooler piping, or a FMIC kit. Make sure to get a boost controller too. Then when you have the time and money, get some 272 or 276 Brian Crower Cams and Stiffer valve Springs. And you might want a DSM Link.

Start reading and learning. 350hp on a 7bolt is easily attainable and reliable.

Check out the upgrade path guide on this site. Its very informative and will give you an idea on what you need to look for.

Also, check out peoples build threads. Learn from what others have done and chose how you want to build your car.

Dont cut corners and youll be boosting 350hp all day long.

Proper maintenance, proper supporting mods/tune and driving habits all play a roll on how much power reliably a block can handle. In short, it should have no problem.

Like mentioned, proper maintenance, a solid tune and you will be fine. My stock 7 bolt has been making 380whp for a couple of years now. Starting at 70k to now 116k. Redlined to the sky's every time!LOL not my daily. Track abused may I add. You should be fine.
