Hi I'm Marc, born and raised in the beautiful state of UT. I've been hangin around dsmtuners for years reading and gaining knowledge from posts scribed by wise dsmer's on the forum scrolls. I'm 25 years of age, my first car was a black 91 6/4, still have it. It wasn't in great shape. I'm currently restoring/building it. It is almost completely torn apart at the moment, I will take it down to the last nut and bolt. I formerly worked at a local hot rod shop doing restorations on classic and vintage vehicles. I feel that and helping my dad restore his 67 firebird from the ground up are the reasons for taking on the restoration of my car. That and my passion for dsms. I've been hoarding parts and working on it when i can. I also got a red 91 a few years back and it was my daily until last year. When I got it it had 122k miles so I went through with all the maintenance. Replaced the hg, water pump, timing belt and components. Bse, gaskets, seals, arp studs, agx's, fmic, 3G lash adjusters, dejon intake pipe, k&n filter, gauges. Only major problem I ever really had was the transfer case locking up a couple years back. Luckily it happened while it was parked after driving on the highway. Noticed a noise after pulling away from the house about half a block down the road driving slow the car came to a stop ha ha. Still have that one too, needs a paint job tho. Long post but I wanna say thanks to all the ppl who post in the forums that I have learned so much from. Just a simple search and I can almost always find an answer to any question I have. I'm looking to post more and try to help other dsmers the best I can.

Welcome! We are about 2 1/2 years into the dsm world ourselves and did the same thing of hunting through the info for answers before signing up. Lots of great stuff to be found, but more fun to talk to the guys/gals yourself. Good luck with your restoration, it's one of my favorite past times after getting a solid motor/trans. Grease is great, but paint means perfection. Have fun!
