I am on the look for a t3/t4 external waistgate manifold. I dont have alot of money to spend on one. I found the cxracing tubular manifold with t3/t4 flange and 35/38mm external waistgate for around 210 dollars. Just wondering if anyone is using or has used this manifold.. any input on this would be great thanks everyone

I'm using a CXRacing setup on my 2g gst. Fighting trans electrical problem at the moment and motor rebuild before that so haven't had a chance to play with it too much. For the little bit I did get to play I don't have any complaints, but only had 300+/- miles on it before the head got hungry and ate 3 spark plugs LOL. Been rebuilding and not spooling up since then.

Hope you get it figured out... does the manifold seem strong or "flimsy" wondering about posible cracking.. also did you have to "mod" it at all for fitment? How well does everything line up?

Ours was a direct fit, no modification needed. Everything seems solid, better quality than stock. This is our first dsm and turbo so we havent seen other brands to compare it with. Haven't noticed anything shifting around, shaking, vibrating, etc. It all has stayed in place so far. The j-pipe seemed thin but the weld is good and all connections before and after it are solid. The gaskets that came with ours are reusable. Haven't had any leaks anywhere but also haven't increased the boost beyond 16 psi yet.

General consensus seems to be that these cheap manifolds will crack over time with the heat and stress of driving the car. Might want to beef up the welds and/or brace it if you are set on running a cheap manifold.

the one i am looking at is only welded at head plate and colector it has 2 braces from head plate to turbo plate an waistgate also has bracing. Not sure how good of bracing. However if i decide to order it tomorrow when i have it i will inspect all welds and bracing. Thank you for your replies. This is a pic of the one im lookin at...
