This is awesome!! Just yesterday I was talking about this with a buddy of mine who has a metal BISS screw he found years ago at a junkyard on a 3000gt. Not sure i like the Allen design though, i think doing a 7 mm hex head and sticking with the original Philips design on the inside would be great. After all, this screw does not need to be torqued down.
 
why is this an issue? ive driven hundreds of thousands of miles on a plastic screw. never had idle problems.
 
I woild be a fan of a metal over plastic... plastic SHOULDNT be an issue for most but i love to go overkill on anything i can that could fail

I stand by my original post. Why is this even necessary? If anyone ever did it again why not make it longer so it sticks out of the hole and can be adjusted by hand and removed without having to dig it out. Nobody uses the plug anyway.
