Hey Tuners, I made a video describing my problem I have. If you're unable to view it I'll be describing the problem in text below.

So the problem I have is that I replaced the under dash wiring harness after discovering that it had been hacked up and spliced into in multiple places. Aspiring to keep my car clean, I ordered a new one from Miller Imports. The awesome guys there pulled one out of a 95 GS-T and sent it to me. I didn't think to compare the two before installing the new one (my fault). After getting everything connected I noticed that my rear turn signals didn't activate and that my brake lights also wouldn't either.

Turns out I had forgot to plug in this:

This is the connector you'd plug into it (for anyone who stumbles on this thread not knowing)

Unfortunately the wiring harness I received from Miller Imports and installed has a different unit and connector all together. This is the connector:

aaaand this is the much smaller box it gets plugged into:

My hunch is that the CEC "heavy duty electronic flasher" is defective and that's causing my brake light/rear turn signal issue. I'm not quite sure on how to test it. My other hunch is that the wiring harness I installed isn't compatible with my year of GS-T. What do you guys think should be my plan of attack? Ask for an alternative wire harness once I ship the currently installed one back? Anyone have any info that could assist me?

i have had a few 95 GSTs and i don't remember any of them using the 3pin version. Here is all the info i have on it, hope it helps.

Appreciate the help! I didn't have those saved before but now I do. Hoping these diagrams will come in handy once I figure out the differences between wiring harnesses throughout the years.

Like Blurred Talon said, that is a Talon harness with the 3 pin connector. Eclipse's use a 10 pin connector/relay. My GSX donor car for my Spyder was a '96 model (still 2gA) and still had the 10 pin connector, so you were definitely sent a Talon harness.

Talons had the 3 pin flasher relay.
Eclipses on the other hand had the much bigger flasher module.
Awesome information! Thank you so much, Blurred Talon!

Appreciate you confirming it with your experience. I asked MIP to send me one from an Eclipse rather than a Talon to see if that works instead. I'll update the thread once I've got the new harness installed.

Just to update on what's currently going on. Miller Imports has sent me another Talon harness by mistake. Shipped the first harness, second harness, and my original harness back to them at my own expense (To ensure I get a new Eclipse harness) :|. Hoping to get the situation remedied soon.

Well, fortunately I got the right harness quite some time ago. Unfortunately, I had to eat the bill of shipping all those harnesses back and forth. I'll save my gripes for another time.

I'm going to mark the thread answered after this. If you have an Eclipse and receive a replacement harness with these:

Then your tail lights will not function properly. However, if you DO have a Talon and receive a replacement harness with that style of connector and flasher, it'll work just fine. (Assuming the harness is properly installed and in working order)

Here is what you'll want to make sure your harness has if you have 2g Eclipse tail lights.

TLDR - Eclipse and Talon under dash harnesses ARE interchangeable ONLY if you're NOT wanting your tail lights and brake lights to function. When ordering a replacement under-dash harness specify you're DSMs year and if you have a Talon/Eclipse. Case closed.
