I have a 1998 gsx with 6bolt block and seven bolt head. I just installed my ecmlink v3, switched the plug wires as directed on the ecm site. the car starts up fine. at wot cel will come on for a split second and the go off. i would like some opions on my first couple of logs and what is needing to be adjusted. The first log is my first idle after install, i pressed the throttle once which ist the spike you see, the second log is my a single first through fifth log. Thanks for the help guys

the flickering check engine light is your knock warning. Sometimes it can be a little touchy and can give "phantom knock". http://www.dsmtuners.com/search/7019785/?q=phantom+knock&o=date&c[title_only]=1

Hard to say what to "adjust" based on your log. There are hudreds of posts of what to do when you start using link. ECMlink wiki is probably the best place to start.

I am a link noob as well (hoping to start tuning my 16g this week) but I have at least done the basic TPS adjust and added a 2-step. My next step would be the MAf adjust.

Have fun!

How do you like the 16g? I have order a ht68 from forced performance< and their echaust manifold heard good things about it. like to hear some reviews if anyone has one, and also opions on fic. Oh yeah I'm going with fic injectors 750cc and info would be nice.

16g is great. pulls hard at 20lbs. 750cc injectors should be fine for about 20 lbs. Sounds like you might be running more than that. I made a spreadsheet to help determine roughly how much injector you need for given pressures. You want to keep you duty cycle ideally under 85%. You can take a look here.

I took another look at your log. At a minimum you need to run the TPS adjust tool. your AirflowPerRev could be a little better, you want about .25. You also should read up on what values to capture and log. I can't really see what I am looking for. All the videos on the ecmlink site are super helpful.

Adjust your TPS to 0.63. Try and do it mechanically. Not through software.
Make sure 0 boost leaks. I would expect more than 13lbs airflow with 16g @ 20PSI (more like 24-27lbs).
Make sure your base fuel pressure is ok.
Ensure your base timing is ok.
I don't see a wideband. Do you have one? Have you configured it to be captured?

Here is what you should be capturing: (if I am missing anything for NON SD, please add)

RPM and/or SmoothRPM
Speed
IntakeAirTemp
Load Factor
KnockRet
Timing
Battery
Injector Duty Cycle
Throttle Position
TPSVolts
TPSDelta
OpenLoop
ClosedLoop
Font O2
Wideband (Get one if you don't have one)
AFRatioEst
AirflowPerRev
Airflow
Map
BoostEst
CombinedFT
CoolTemp
Radiator Fan
Horsepower
Torque

If you haven't splurged for SD. Do so :)
