Has anyone had a problem using ARP Head Studs with Kiggly Beehive springs? One of the nuts seem to be interfering with the spring seats. (6 Bolt Head) I have the ARP 207-4201 Head Stud Kit.

That's a really weird issue to have. The spot facing on the heads for the valve spring seats shouldn't interfere with line of sight access to the head stud bearing area.

Am I missing something here? Are you sure you have the right springs seats and stud washers installed?

The head came with the Dual Valve Springs and Titanium retainers and seats. I know they are the correct stud and washers.

Yeah, that's definitely going to create some interference issues, LOL. I used ARP studs with Manley springs and stock seats and didn't have this issue at all. Any chance you can get in touch with Kiggly to see what their recommendation is?

My take: assuming you keep the springs in their current location, looks like the only solution would be to spot face the head stud bearing surface down a few millimeters to recess the nut and washer below the spring seat. However, I have no idea how far down you can go with that operation before you either run out of thread on the stud, or worse, break into a cooling or oiling gallery in the head. I'm interested to see how you solve this one, though. Keep us posted.

Maybe its just me but you said you have duals and kigglys? What set are you having issues with

I have dual valve springs but am not so sure they are kiggly's I'm trying to get conformation. So I can contact the company who manufactures the springs.

Here is some pictures of them, maybe someone can identify them on here.

I haven't had that issue but I did have an issue getting that same studs washer in. It went in but was tight. Can you pry (lightly) against the spring to push it over it may not be squared up

I've heard of this before when running dual springs, although that was only with A1 head studs and not your regular ARP's. If you're installing the head studs you have to put the washer in first then the stud it self.

Yes I have tried. Also. I have already put the washers on. The nut flange is the problem it's hit the spring seat as pictured.
