Broke every stud on the gas tank for the fuel sending unit, even after letting them soak with penetrating oil for weeks. After further inspection, I decided to ditch the stock tank and go with a nicer unit instead of repairing the tank.

Old one gone. So much room for activities under there now. Good time to undercoat where I couldn't before.

Old fuel filler replaced with a new one.

Looking forward to getting the cars back on the road after the nice mid winter weather we had yesterday. Ignore the scuff marks on the rear bumper, we haven't finished wet sanding the car yet.

Got a 10 gallon JMF fuel cell. My stock tank was beyond repair. Test fitted last night.

This one doesn't stick out like their older model's. If you stand up behind the car you can't see it.

I need to pull it off so I can undercoat the chassis above the cell and reinstall permanently. I am using a stock sender with two 255's and leaving the sumped fitting capped. Maybe down the road the car will see an external pump.

I am not a fan of how low the old JMF fuel cells sit at all, the one you have looks like it fits in there significantly better. Nice !

Yeah, I really dislike the older style cells as well. I'm glad I found this piece.

Beautiful car and I love the direction you have gone with it.
Thanks man!

Hopefully some better updates in the next week or two!

This weekend i'm going to wire in the gauges and maybe the shift kit.

Got the tank in after undercoating.

Put together an oil cooler kit using a large 11x8.1.5 tru-cool unit.

Header wrapped. Going to pick up a blanket for the turbine housing as well.

And got the remaining items I needed for the engine. Cam gears, oem oil pump, gaskets, belt cover, n/a water pipe, etc...

Little update on that white Evo I bought to daily this summer. It was fully built when I got so I sold off most of the built stuff including the engine and got it running last weekend on a stock engine after doing some maintenance on it. Took a while to source all the stock parts I needed.

Nice you've been busy nice chatting earlier hopefully we can meet up soon I plan in being road next month and your close to me. I gotta find some lights LOL.

Hope your pump is quieter than my audi pump! I have it mounted in engine bay and relayed from my brake lights. Annoying! Going to put it on a switch first, then brake lights so that it's not on just cruising around town.

The air compressor is pretty damn loud haha. No too worried about it though... it'll only be on when I pull up to stage. It'll be activated via brake switch when the toggle switch is "on".

Good call!! I need to do the same. I may just wire it to my Nitrous switch. If it's on, I probably need brake vacuum:D
