Well got the car started it ran crappy with the tune I have, so I'm probably going to take it to strictly performance to get a tune on it. That will happen in the next month or so, I have a few projects that I'm trying to get done on the car.

Right now I'm building a set of fender braces out of 4130 chromoly tubing and 4130 sheet metal. They are turning out really nice and I can't wait to get them all done and finished up!!! I also have a number of little projects around the car at the moment. This includes some foam molds and some fiberglass ichyness LOL. Making the chassis more rigid and stripping as much weight as possible. I'll have more on that when it gets all further along.

But the braces are almost done so here are some pictures of whats going on.

Well I got a new radiator mine was leaking in between the fins.. And since I got a new radiator I figured why not get a coolant overflow. But the one I got is new old stock for a 1967 corvette. I like the way the engine bay looks with this one compared to the old. And with the overflow in the back you can kinda see the waste-gate and dump tube better. And I also took off the compressor housing off the turbo and sanded that down and gave it a good polish. I think it just gives the bay a little more pop. I might get it powder coated down the road with a bunch of other stuff from the engine bay..

I also took my shifter and shifter base out and rebuilt it with all new bushings and a lower cup. And I also made a steel insert for the cables that are inside the cabin. I made it out of an air fitting and ground it down until I was able smack it into the cable end.. Its a lot better than the factory rubber one that was all worn out and super squishy.. The feel is crazy good now and it is the best feeling shifter setup I've ever felt, super smooth and no notch...

And lastly I finally got my ducktail spoiler in the mail I plasti dipped it white real quick to get the idea. Its sitting their superficiality so that's why there is gaps all around the edges. But I put it up to just get the idea of what it looks like and I'm really diggin the look of it. Its exactly the look I was going for and I won't have to much modifying to get it fitted perfect.

Well I haven't really done anything to the car in the past month. Was super busy with work, but I'll be getting back at it soon. I ordered a couple quick disconnect fuel fittings for the GM flex fuel sensor. And I also got another kirkey seat for the passenger side. No more heavy 2g seats, and I like how low the kirkey seats sit. It defiantly puts you even further away from the roll cage bars, which I really like. I'm also looking at getting a new set of rims for the car as well, so I went ahead and got a fender roller. More to come soon with the seat install and getting the fender braces installed also!!!

Here's a quick video I made of my door swing outs!! They turned out pretty BA if you ask me...
Click the picture and it will take you to the video LOL..

Well here's a small update, I got the passenger side kirkey seat all mounted up. Then finally got around to installing the fender braces, I'm really happy with how they came out.. And I realized before the car gets tuned, I should paint the roll cage before it gets to rusty. So everything in the interior is now back out. So the paint should be done in the next week when the weather is in the 60's.. Since I don't have much of anything else to do to the car I starting making more plates and gussets LOL. Some of the plates I made aren't pictured, but they are braces for the seat belt brackets. I'll grab some pictures and post those up soon also. I might make some under braces out of some spare tubing I have.. Or maybe make some more chassis gussets for the roll cage, who knows if you guys have any ideas/feedback let me know. I'm always open to more things and I can fabricate just about anything..

The gussets look amazing, I always loved the look of those tying the cage into the shell! Great work.

Just curious what happened to the door swing out video? Did not work for me :(

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback!!

And I got the door swing out video working again.. Not to sure why it stopped working LOL

Well it's that time again and a lot has happened in the past week. I was bored and made some under car chassis braces/jack spots. And I finally stripped the interior and taped it all off and prepped the past couple days. And today I laid down the epoxy primer over the interior finally!! And since I finally see the car being done in the coming weeks I was starting to worry about my brakes. I have all slotted ebc rotors and ebc pads but, they were fading on my car when it was 400hp.. So with it going to be near doubled I figured its time to get some real calipers. I got a set of evo 9 Brembo calipers that are in great shape, they have the typical fading of the clear. But that's a easy fix with some wet sanding and clear coat. I also picked up some more f6 wire loom and some foam padding for the kirkey seats. They are comfortable as is but I figured with another 2" of foam they will be more street able..... I'm going to be painting the base coat/clear coat tomorrow.. I also sanded down my carbon fiber hood and will be putting a fresh coat of clear on that.. But onto the pictures..

Well I painted the roll cage and it looks awesome, there are some flaws but that doesn't matter.. I'm really happy to just have it all done with and can get it together to get tuned.. I just got it pushed outside after all winter of being in the garage.. Here are the pictures of it, I also did the hood it turned out pretty sweet.. If you look close enough you can see the damage in the pictures LOL

Where are you at in Macomb bro? I'm in St. Clair Shores and have a nice build of my own I'm wrapping up this Spring finally. We should link up.

Right on, I'm in shelby so we're pretty dang close.. I have a few local dsm friends, we should all meet up when it gets nicer..

Im getting a lot of inspiration. I absolutely love your project, impressive welding and the engine bay is cleaner than most evo's :O

Thanks man I appreciate that!!

Well quick update, just a bunch of pictures!
