Hey Guys,

I picked up a 99 GST today that has a 6 bolt swap already done in it. The car had (there is a reason for that we will come back) a 16g turbo in it.

I picked it up today, drove it 4 hours home. All to be unable to build boost the first time I actually went to step on it in familiar roads I am used to and know the traffic. I thought maybe something happened to the SAFC, but no the boost gauge told a different story. I pulled the intake off of the turbo and stuck my finger in the turbines to see if they still moved freely, well they do, but my finger came back drenched in oil.

I have 2 options, I can replace the turbo with another 16g or I can throw a 20G on it and put the Gram 750cc injectors I just ordered in it. What are your thoughts on the matter? I will get you guys some pictures tomorrow once I get the car in my garage and start breaking it down.

Also, where is the best place to buy "oem" turbo's for these cars?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to reading the forums and learning more about the DSM community as I am new to it, but not working on imports.

My goal at the moment for the car is to be around 375-400whp and then work on some other misc. stuff with the car.

Thanks again for the help guys. Right now it has Black top injectors and a 255 walboro, but I ordered 750cc Gram injectors before I even owned the car (took a risk there LOL)

What is the general thought on FP turbos?

Do you have a tuning solution? This will be essential to your goals.

If it were me, I'd go for the 20g, as it would meet your goals easier.

And fp turbos are pretty much the go-to for dsms.

I am picking up an Ostrich and RT Tuner pro soon and cutting the SAFC out I believe. I still have much searching to do.

Thank you for your help!
