I was able to get a couple small things done today in the bay while it was raining, took the old accumulator and hardline for the clutch out and put a new master cylinder and SS clutch line in. Getting close to dropping the motor in, also getting a lot of good ideas from other build threads. I'm planning on getting the car running and playing around a little if the trans allows it. Then shipping the trans off sometime this summer to get built, when I do this I've been thinking of stripping down the suspension components on the car and sandblast and paint the entire underside. New bushing bearings the everything.

I was able to get the motor and trans in place! For now I'm going to be running a stock flywheel, freshly resurfaced with a stock pressure plate and act street disc. Everything will be stock for the most part until I run a few tanks of gas through and break in the motor. I'm also working on cleaning all the wires and replacing the loom and electrical tape while I'm at it. Once I get the motor cranked I will be relocating the battery to the back of the car with the Moroso batter disconnect switch and battery box.

I used a gun, primer, black base coat and Alsa ghost chrome. Looking back on it I wish I would have taken the time to do the complete firewall, something to consider!

Plans are changing a little, I've been putting a lot of work in on the car! Almost ready to crank. Haven't been taking pictures but you guys know the deal. It's all pretty basic stuff right now.

I am changing around the turbo setup, after looking at the compressor map I wasn't very impressed. Plus my goals for this build are a little more then this turbo is capable of. So I'm deciding between an hx-35 or an fp green. Here is the compressor map for the Garrett I will be putting up for sale shortly.

I've been working pretty steady on the car the past few nights. I'm going to run through a quick list of what I've done for my own records.
-Cleaned up and wrapped 80% of the wire with 3m 88+ Electrical tape
-Wire in CAS
-Hook up all ground and Electrical connections
-Clean up fuel rail and install with FIC 980's
-Install fuel lab AFPR
-Jump fuel Pump and drain old gas (luckily only a few gallons)
-Install torque solutions shifter bushings
-Hook up shifter cables
-Filled Trans with diaqueen
-Transfer case with reline shockproof
-Rear diff with shockproof
-Filled the Powersteering
-Installed new clutch master reservoir
-New slave cylinder
-Bled the clutch
-Pulled all plugs and double checked the Gap
-Anti-seize on threads
-Poured Marvel Mystery oil down every cylinder
-Poured the rest in the crankcase and rotated motor to lube everything
-Torqued spark plugs
-Double checked Timing and CAS
-Tucked Wire inside manifold
-Flipped Injectors 180 to clean up wiring
-Install non cruise cable
-Mount 1g coil and bracket
-Change Firing order to 3214 (2g Wire Routing, Non 95-96 CAS with 95 ECU)
-Hooked up macbook to ecu to check connection
-Mounted oil cooler with custom brackets
-Mount radiator and fan
-Installed passenger axle and tightened up suspension components
-Installed half shaft and driver axle "new" Tightened suspension components
-Bolt up Transfer case and driveshaft
-Hook up starter and wire
-hook up ac condenser and dryer + all lines
-Mount FMIC bolt up pipes
-Torque axle nuts
-Torque all lugs
-Pump up tires

Things I still need to do,
-Install New Brake master reservoir and bracket
-Bleed brakes
-Plumb in Oil Cooler lines
-Fill motor with oil
-Install throttle body o-ring and biss screw
-Bolt up throttle body and ICP
-Bolt up Intake pipe and filter
-Start car and set base timing with timing light
TUNE!

Then,
New battery (Optima)
Rewire fuel pump
New Tires (RS3's)
Bigger turbo (still might run the 3271 for now)

Will update with pics and startup video, hoping by this weekend!

Was able to get it started earlier this week! Great feeling seeing it all come together, been working out bugs all week. Here is some pics of the progress.

Before I tucked the wire inside the intake manifold I added wire loom and 3m tape around everything. I also had to extend the TPS, Coil harness and Flipped the injectors 180*

After tucking the wire and cleaning everything up, still need to relocate the overflow.

Checked the compression a few days ago, 180 across the board, was happy about that!
Oil pressure is High on cold start even with the oil port mod. 100+ or - psi on cold start then settles to 20psi at idle.

Turbo seal is shot on the t-25 but I wasn't to surprised with the shaft play before installing. Planning on using the Garett/Turbonetics manifold for now. Still on the fence about the turbo I will stay with, leaning towards the HY-35 with t3 hot side.

Adjusted the Throttle, TPS, ISC and Idle tonight.

Its not mounted haha, Damn thing is to bulky to fit anywhere.. Not sure where it will go but I have a few ideas.

First Time Driving this DSM after 3 years of owning it! Pretty exciting to say the least, even with a t-25 on stock waste gate pressure and a bad turbo seal.

T-25 didn't last long, then again it was already shot LOL. Oil in the D/P

So not wasting any time Pulled the stock mani/o2/turbo off and started mocking up what I need to get to bolt the t3 Garrett up. 4" Intake wasn't to wanting work "rubbing on lower radiator hose." Downpipes flange is a little off and will probably need to be cut and welded.

Finished up the return line tonight after getting the -10AN hose in the mail.

Little video clip of the car running with the new turbo installed. I still have a bunch of stuff I need to get done before its ready to tune but I figured I had this turbo with everything I needed to run it so why not.. I'm picking up a Shep Stage 3 tranny tomorrow local so I will have a built trans a little sooner than expected too :)

Almost forgot added an Evo shift knob too, feels great! Can't wait to bang some gears with the SHEP tranny in!

Great looking car man!!
Thanks! I see we have twins :)

So I've been fishing and working on the boat lately.. The season is here, anyways I've had a few hiccups along the way with the Dsm...

Number one issue is the turbo, I didn't realize the compressor cover was cocked and when I started the car it scraped the compressor blades from rubbing in the housing :( Needless to say it is shot and not worth rebuilding "to me." Needs a new compressor blade at the minimum, so I ordered a 14b until I get all the bugs worked out.

Here's my Shep Stage 3 with ACT 2600 and Fidenza Flywheel I picked up a few weeks back.

The black interior is nice but its way to beat up to keep in here when I have near mint black/grey interior in my FWD talon:hellyeah:

So the fun begins, first things first rip out all old interior and replace with black/grey. I'm also switching the carpet because thats trashed aswell.
Here's some pics of the progress so far. More pics coming soon.

Painted black, with black leather seats. Everything is pretty worn out as you can see though.
Looks good so far brother
