Putting out a feeler to see where all the Indy region DSM guys/gals are. Looks like the latest post on this forum was over a year ago. Anyone in Indy still around on here?

Not in Indy but only about 1.5hrs. away. If there is ever going to be a meet and greet hit me up. Be worth the drive to see some fellow DSMers.

My car is in hardcore project mode (see build thread), but I'd still be totally down to meet up sometime to see who else is out there when the weather warms up a bit. Maybe I should get on facebook or something?

Yeah my car is down too. Doing a wire tuck and some other odds and ends. Just hit me up on here when the weather breaks. Checked out your photos. That engine is looking really good.

I've not seen a freaking single turbo'd DSM in town, all ricer 420's!

Can't miss me, look for the blurple blur flying by on 465!

Dude, he also blamed me, he's like what just happened, where did you come from, how did I hit him OL!

I have the full video's I should share, but I told the dude to STFU, take his sorry ass back behind his car and look at the 2 lanes, and that his next words will decide what I do, then I pointed to my dashcam in the front and rear and told him I had caught all this digitally.

Guy wants to pay out of pocket, we will see how that goes!

I got tire marks down the drivers side, scratched off plastidip on the door and ground effects, and a broken door handle

Cop said over 1k damage, I'm seeking at least 500$ from his pocket.

I'm not originally from here, and it's been my observation that Indiana drivers have, ehem... 'interesting' interpretations on how to drive. Glad to see you got it on dash cam, otherwise who knows how it would have gone down.

I think my worst experience here thus far was on my motorcycle. Someone heading in the opposite direction crossed over a double yellow and intentionally tried to run me off the road; completely unprovoked.

BTW, what kind of recirc valve are you running? It's noisy, in a good way.

@rough At least you have dash cam footage. That guy was an idiot if he thinks it's your fault. He can't even stay in his lane.

I live right there! Hahah good to see some fellow DSM's nearby. I am down for a meet up. I have a 2004 GTO that I daily, but have a TSI AWD in the garage.

I am right at 86th and Ditch, and my work is at 101st and Spring Mill

I'm here - Emerson and Thompson - near Beechgrove. I have a 90 Laser somewhat modified. Getting ready for paint. Status - On the road. I also have the unicorn 1985 1/2 Dodge Conquest. Search on the internet the Seychelles Red one is mine with the Aussie spoiler. Ubber rare!

If anybody knows of a local auto body shop who is very good at painting please let me know? I got a quote from collision evolution off of Washington Street in Indianapolis. I think he's a little bit on the high side plus he's very slow my car was supposed to go and first part of March and now he's saying mid April. I'm not having my car painted when the humidity is going to be more than 50%. Please let me know you can message me or post it here please. Thank you Slim Jim

Getting a car painted is stupid expensive. Humidity wont affect anything at all if the shop a has proper paint booth, whoever told you that has no idea what they are talking about. Body shops paint cars all year long with no issues whatsoever.

I lived right there for the past year till recently I moved to 82nd street.

I lived in Barrington estates behind the speedway!

My red GSX was always in it's covered bay if you went left while entering.

I'm glad I no longer live there now! Right before we moved out a couple doors down was robbed and the whole complex was full of cops, plus there was a murder there a few years ago in the parking lot!

Man.... I press save on my 1 mile trip to work every day at least 3 times. I swear license's here where handed out in cereal boxes or something...

I'm running a SSQV 4 recirculated into a Injen intake.

People here like to intentionally cause issues on the road. I'm not shocked someone tried to hit you head on, I get people trying to side swipe me, move into my lane, cross over double yellows, every day!! There isn't one day that goes by, where I don't encounter a freaking idiot!

What get's me is someone will do 35 in a 40... Not use any signals, then get pissed and honk at you when you fly by them... Grrr !!

Here is a better image of some damage, this made me sad, I was like aww sob!! I might fix it, looks pretty easy, or say fuk it and wait for the next toolbag to hit me.

Yep - Correct stupid expensive is right. It's Indianapolis, I haven't seen a reasonable shop with a good spray booth worth mentioning. I am not paying 4-5k for my small car. I am going to a couple of more places and see what I can dig up. Team Auto Body and Paint is my next stop! Cheers SLim
