i'm trying to find a way to only run the cas that's built in the distributor and keep the coil packs. it may not even work but never hurts to experiment. just gotta find the wiring diagram to it so i can make the ecu see the cam signals

Distributor wiring for the 7g gallant pin out for 94-95 model. 96-98 doesn't have the crank sensor in the distributor. Converting the distributor wiring to the gst harness. Not cutting into the harness. Got most of the wiring mapped for this temporary swap

6 wire plug
Pin 1-Black, system ground
Pin 2-Black/White, power wire
Pin 3-Brown/Green, crank signal (94-95 only)
Pin 4-Brown/Red, cam signal
Pin 5-Black, system ground
Pin 6-White, Ignition power transistor

2 wire plug
Pin 1-Black/White, MPI relay and transmission control module
Pin 2-Black/Yellow, Tachometer and some capacitor

currently working on the auto tranny to run it without the TCU

quick update. thanks to a very good friend we both found a great deal on a set of talon front and rear bumper. no longer the eclenger but now is a talonger. its close to challenger. working on tail light lenses with full led board to fix the dim brake light issue and light up the talon part in the middle. may be getting an engine getting to the machine shop before long. wire harness is very close to being completed. just battery cable and a few fuses for head lights and tail lights to go up to the front.

hauling an engine in a 3000gt. not very practical but hey, its all i had. engine is at the machine shop. should be able to get it running within the next month if all goes to plan. basically a stock build with .060 4g63 pistons in. stock t25 turbo for now. its in the works.

ya i won't get this bored again. if anything i'd sleeve it. and thats not much better. should be able to get the block in the car next week once i get it back. the day after i drop the engine off, my cam seal blew in the 3000gt. fun time fixing that. its about time the eclipse got some attention again though. hoping to have the car running before the end of august

quick update. harness converted to speed density. currently a 2 bar map, but this won't see any boost over 14 psi till after break in. took all the plugs off every wire and removed the pins. took about 2' out of each wire to make it look better. this is my wire tuck almost completely done. still waiting on my 4g63 and all my other stuff to get this car running. everything else is ready to go now

Nice to see an avenger front swap, I think I've only seen one completed, very interested in how this turns out. Keep it up.

ya, not common at all. it makes it look longer. loses the aggressive look but it also doesn't look like 98% of all 2g's. Thats the main reason for the swap. Progression has stopped again. job situation here sucks. engine is so close. just pistons and rods is whats left

Well, I'm at it again with crazy ideas. Recently acquired a ford sync set up minus the touchscreen navigation/ radio. I'm upgrading the stock low tech dsm radio to a high tech sony sync set up. The radio plug is already converted to the sync plug on the harness. Hoping to get the radio and finish all the wiring. Only issue i'm having with the harness is no power to the headlight switch with 12v to it. thats the only thing not working out of everything after all the pin matching and deletes. everything works with a 9v and a test light. progress is coming along well.

quick update. i got the 2 plugs i was missing for sync. just about have it all wired up and ready to go. mic is in the pillar and sync computer will be beside the glove box. usb and aux i still have to figure out. gotta wait to get the touch screen radio. get the car running first.

designed the rear end of the car. making a brand new bumper next year. making tail lights to. look like the stock talon but beheind will be the newer talon tail light design which will be a ghosted in tail light. body lines are altered in the back.

that would be nice to. i'm making up a 555 flasher circuit to get rid of the stock flasher box. with all the led's i want to run, the stock won't even flash fast. everything will be led. the headlights will be xenon projector beams. i'll be getting another avenger hood soon once work picks back up and get it to a buddy who will do all the welding. i'll go over that with fiberglass to finish the look. hood is designed after the viper gts. 1 scoop in the middle which exits out back, and 2 in the side like the evo kind of vet. put it to the side of the turbo to vent out underhood temps.wiring wise, front body harness is done and engine harness is done. both dash harnesses are out to get sync installed which is about 30% done. rear body harness is also done once i remove the power antena plug. going with a shark fin because the sync doesn't have a power wire to the antenna. trick is finding one to work with the sunroof when its open. hoping to get the 4g64 block sent out to get bored in january and hopefully running by february. all it needs is scat rods and wiseco pistons. its so close to being the car i've imagined

I just ordered a ton of lights to start my full LED conversion. Once i'll get a build thread started once i start on them. got a good friend that i'll help with forming a new talon tail light lense. it'd be transparent red and amber as stock is but it won't be hard to see like stock. i have 400 lights coming and a few special things i'm doing for my set. once its done, i'll start making them for other people. not limited to dsm either. i want to finish this first set to get an idea on a selling price. it won't be miller import expensive either. just enough to break even and make a few extra dollars. it will depend on what is wanted to. just sides or full and if sequential is wanted or not. i'll post back in another build thread once i get stuff started. maybe get more people to go LED. there will be an led flasher relay to so the stock flasher won't be used after this. plugs will be the stock bulb bases so it goes right into the stock sockets so no mods will be needed. just pull the lense off, put these in and either buy our new transparent lenses to show the lights off and install it on or put the stock back on.again, this won't be as expensive as it sounds so the average person can afford it. Right now we don't know price of it yet. but right now 400 led's, 200 resistors and 10 prototype boards are under $15. that gives you the basic idea. but this is probably more for 1 side to. this will use alot of LED's so it will be bright. reflectors will be custom made to. just an idea of whats going to happen within the next few months

Another project. 2gb talon spyder. not a 2gb eclipse spyder. get this going within the next few months
