No from the first pic I uploaded it's been filled in and welded and smoothed out. Doesn't look like yours.
oh ok sorry i didnt click on it and was on my phone viewing so not the best of pics any how, looking at your other pics not I am on a comp you have the nipple on the right near the core plug so it is an evo 3 manifold and someone has filled it in on the EGR, makes it easier to cap off,

mine has the threaded port for an EGR valve so I guess it's a true EVO III manifold. What size (thread type) plug do I need to block it off?

I used an M16 with a 1.50 thread pitch. I could not find one short enough, so Put a nut on and cut off what I didn't need. Removing the nut cleaned up the end. I used thread locker and a washer for install.
 
You can mount the smaller throttle body without ill effect. It is an issue when you mount a larger bored throttle body to a smaller intake manifold inlet.
 
^^^^^^ exactly right. If you was to go the otherway around some taper porting will be needed but using a 57mm on a 60mm hole is fine and wont cause any issues
 
Well unfortunately, Steve from throttlebodys.com doesn't do the 57mm upgrade, however, he made me a great deal on a rebuilt 1g tb I might take. So if I go that route what do I need to make it work with a vrsf intercooler kit? Could I just cut off the flange in the throttle elbow to hook into the coupler? I would like to keep use of it because I have my iat in there.
 
Does the kit require the 2g intake elbow?
If so, you can taper the flange section to open up to 60mm. You can use the supplied gasket from Steve to mark how much you need to open up the elbow. Do this only at the flange, as there is not enough meat to taper/port past the flange.

Sounds good I can do that. I thinking of the NT tb that use the coupler not an elbow:ohdamn:.
So the 1g and 2g elbows have the same bolt pattern but just different in the size of the openings and angles, correct?

Yes, direct swap.
 
An OE gasket is fine. The thermoplastic ones don't perform all that well. A phenolic spacer/gasket would be fine, but can be pricey.
 
they have been known to leak or break and some even last 1 time! a normal gasket is just fine
 
Put it on the top 10mm bolt closest to the drivers side. Just a note for anyone using a EVO3 intake, the 1990 TB won't seal correctly so use a 91+. Mine is blended and I use a '91 model TB with some adaptor harnesses for my TPS and AIC. Pulls great to 8500+.
 
I'ver been using my evo3 intake manifold for quite some time now (~3 years). It works really well and looks great. This is with an FP HTA88 and Water to Air intercooler. I managed to get lucky and get the factory bracket for the coil pack also. I will say that if you have the factory bracket, the types of coils that fit in there are "odd".... the screw holes don't line up with most of the coils I have in the garage but I had the set that came with the bracket too.... anyway, I highly recommend this mod and it appeals to the sleeper look since it doesn't appear to be anything other than a stock manifold to those uninformed.

has anyone switched from 2g intake to an evo intake and notice a tq loss in the 2000-3000rpm range? I ask as I am running an a/t rvr engine. I am seeking ways to boost the drivability a bit. considering swapping in the 2g mani to see if I like it better.

arnt the rvr intakes smaller anyway in bore size, ive not done the swap yet but i believe they are more for better top then then lower down on the power range
