Why was it only tuned at 10 psi? Break in? 1000cc are big for that turbo so youll never run out of fuel if you have a pump.
1000ccs are from my old 20g. The 14bs wastegate was set to 10 psi for unknown reasons. And it didnt bother me at first. But now I want a bit more. So is a retune needed? I didnt know if the fuel map would keep up with the extra boost.

Just remember this. More boost equals more fuel. I didn't check your profile, but assuming you have a fuel pump that takes advantage of the upgraded injectors, you have the hardware to support more boost but as the UrbanSmoker said, tuning needs to take place to maximize the turbo's performance or you run the risk of damaging your motor up if you don't tune the ecu to add more fuel.

You should have a wideband AFR gauge, turn the boost up a lb at a time until you start going over 11.2afr. We don't know how conservative your car is tuned now. Then get in ecm link and start adding a little at a time to the fuel maps where you lean out.

I'm not expert, just started learning, but I'm seeing its a fairly simple process it just takes a lot of time especially if you don't really know what your doing. Just go slow.

Read what i just said
Just wanted a second opinion because Ive read different sides.

Im assuming im not tuned conservatively at all because its tuned to run 12.0 at WOT. Ill just tune it then. Thanks.

I was just going off what I read is a safe 91oct tune, 11.2

Yes I think thats pretty high, it all depends what fuel you are running and what knock counts are though.

Yes you will need to make adjustments. You spent money getting your car where it is now so don't chance it.

How about you post a log at 15 psi and we will help YOU tune it
Will do! I was planning on tuning it myself anyway. The only reason 3D tuned it in the first place was because the car was getting other work done, so I thought I might as well.

Once I get the engine back in the car and get a fmic ill turn up the boost and see how the log goes.
