Forget the weld in kit ... I've bought one from S&W race car and had to do it all over again ... I only used the main hoop and halo but would have build them if I knew I would need to build everything else.

Save your money, buy what you need instead of a kit like bender and tube notcher and a bunch of tube. You'll be all set ! :)

Unless you have a ton of time and patients, and know how to weld, doing it yourself wouldnt be for you either. I tackled my first one in my spyder over the winter and for my first one I was rather pleased, however I feel the next is going to be better still. I've been dabbing in TIG welding for a couple years but there is still a lot of improvements I can make. As far as the bending and fabbing goes it was pretty overwhelming at first. But after I started and realized to tackle it one bar at a time it became a lot easier.

Now what is the purpose of said cage? Drag racing? Auto-x/road racing? Looks? If its for looks Id say dont even bother, along with a lot of other members. I dont know of a quality Bolt/Weld in cage that you can just buy.. My advice would be to find a race shop and see if they could do one for you..

If you in the position to need a cage it need to be right.

Ive met people in the local scene that build cages, and know people who've had them done by locals. I think youre just going to have to reach out and find someone to build you one and pay the hefty price. I know people who've put out ~3000$ for a full 8.50 cert cage. Whereas i spent 200 on materials and my own time and argon/welding rod formy 6pt.
