So over the past month (maybe longer), I have been looking for the upper transmission bracket off of a 1g FWD/AWD automatic AKA F4A33 or W4A33. I have gotten nowhere and I find this very hard to believe. I know there are plenty of you out there running 1g automatics. I know some of you have spare transmissions. What will it take to get one from somebody?

For examples of where I have tried; Miller Import Parts, any and all Facebook DSM trading sites, ATDSM as well as their Facebook group...the classifieds here. I have gone to and called many recycling yards locally and have been shot down each and every time.

Help me out here guys! I know someone has to have a spare or know where they could get one to help a guy out.

Thanks,
God bless!

Sounds like EVERY source you have tried is the same. 1g AUTO stuff is getting hard to find, hell even standard stuff is getting slim but don't bite the hand that could feed you by saying this forum is lacking, its been more helpful for me in the last two years than any other source. Be patient man and play nice, it will have better results.

Come on guys. 'Tuners has been seriously lacking for quite awhile..

What exactly has " 'Tuners" been seriously lacking? People who are willing to go find you parts for your custom motor swap?

Have you ever considered the possibility given all the places you've looked, that NOBODY has one :aha:

Sounds like it's time to put the "custom" in your custom swap by building/modifying something.

My next fwd project nice!

Oh, the lovely "fabricate one" comment. Listen guys, if I were better at doing such and welding I would. I didn't get a lot of fabrication training in school even though I had a class specifically for it. Just what happens when you have 25+ kids in a class with one instructor. Hahahaha

Anyway, my logic goes a little like this; if I can secure the engine on the sides with factory mounts then the front and rear aren't a big deal. In other words I can deal with those. I'd rather not take a chance getting the engine and transmission level both up and down, front to back as well as the tilt.

At that point you're wrecking axle angles, geometry and prematurely wearing parts. Who likes doing that? Or at least willingly? Lmao NOT I!
