Looking to make 450ish at the wheels when everything is all said and done. But for starters I need to get a afpr, wide band, boost gauge, and the method I'm choosing to tune is using a tactrix op 2.0 cable and black box ecu. The turbo im wanting to start with is a 16g since I have the yellow top injectors which I believe are 550 correct me if I'm wrong. Already has a fmic installed with a ebay 16g that I don't trust LOL.So I figure that's a good starting point once I put a real 16g there. It's going to be weekend warrior for the most part. So as if right now im going to start purchasing the parts I need so I can knock it all the maintenance that's needs to be done I can start modding. Just the basics like the timing belt(already have a gates ready to go on), unsure on deleting balance shafts or keeping them, head gasket and arp head studs for safe measure while I take a look at the pistons and have a machine shop inspect the head, all fluids and filters. I want to take a air line and blow out the fuel lines in case there us any trash in there..... I'm new to dsm's and turbos but I have a pretty good concept of it. So if you have any more suggestions on what I should be before modding im all ears.

Ok so I was wrong about the 550. They were already on the car when I purchased it. One thing I need to do as soon as possible is a BLT. It idles beautifully but when it gets up to around 2700 to 3k rpms it starts missing horribly and won't build boost. It was doing this before I put in the fuel pump.I know it needs a regulator on it. Could it just be the fact is got slightly bigger injectors throwing it out of whack? No cel codes have been thrown. I don't drive it around because of that and I need to change the clutch slave cylinder LOL I have it just haven't felt the urge to put it in yet. Any ideas?

Even a safc would be better then nothing. Stock 450's are cheap and easy to find. Check ur plugs and wires tho. Sounds like they could be fouled. These cars are notorious for being beat to death with very little maintenance.

I'm actually ordering the ecu now.I did check the plugs they are clean and look rather new.I pulled the valve cover.....the head looks brand new.there's no oil burnt on the sides, not discolored or anything.perfectly clean. So yeah LOL the wires could use replacing because idk how old they are are.

Update...I have a innovative wb, afpr with lines fittings and high flow filter on the way. Ecu will be purchased as soon as the guy gets back to me. Just need a open port 2.0 cable....was thinking tactrix.any suggestions?

Ok so my regulator, filter, wideband, ecu, and tactrix cable should be in Friday. So I'm hoping to install and start tuning for the bigger injectors that are in there to make it drivable.now my question is...I removed the valve cover and I'm wanting to replace the grommets on the bolts. But I can't seem to find anything on them.like where to buy or anything really...suggestions?

Let me know if you find anything! I once had a stumbling problem under load that turned out to be "microcracks" in the sp wires, I was skeptical until I changed them and the problem disappeared. Do a BLT though, very common problem.

I got the tactrix cable on time. The regulator and filter along with the wideband got shipped a few days late......the guy with computer says he shipped it and will give me the tracking number when he gets home.......that was Friday still haven't heard from him. So yeah LOL I'll give him a few more days just to see if it happens to arrive if not then I will go through paypal to get my money back.
