10% is something to be thankful for but its not 30-40%. I could check into it but you still have taxes and shipping to add back in. That would probably bring the total close to what you could get it for.

EDIT: Just called the local welding supply out of curiosity and the 210 DX is 3,386. Thats about the same price as cyber weld.

As for the 210 DX VS 200 DX price, they are about the same right now. Cyber weld actual has the 200 priced a few dollars higher than the 210. The local welding supply has the 200 slightly cheaper. All that may change but I am no salesman.

If the 200 is getting discontinued for yhe 210 people will be discounting the 200's to get them out of their stock, I'll be looking at that time probably. I'm so sick of how basic my diversion 180 is.
I assumed the same thing, but I haven't seen anyone discounting the 200's like that. My guess is that it's such a good seller that nobody needs to discount them much (if any) to get rid of them.

I'm actually looking at the complete kit too, so it's a couple grand more than the box itself. Miller part number 951668 is what I'm after. Best price I've found so far is about $5270.

It seems the Dynasty 210 DX is still in production and not slated to hit the market for another 4 weeks or so. And after seeing specs for it, I'm pretty much 100% sold on it. 100% duty cycle at 175 amps on 208-480V and 60% at 210 amps. And still 120V capable. I've never needed more power than that, and it rings in at ~$1600 cheaper than the 280 DX. Seems like a solid winner to me.

But the best price on the kit I've found so far is $5459. Ouch!

My curiosity was to see if the local welding supply had similar prices to make a discount worthwhile. They offered me the kit options, I just asked for the DX to compare. I am sure they are on par with cyber weld prices.

Not sure what all comes in the kit but its 2 grand worth of goodies looking at the price difference.

A little quiet, so here are some more sanitary welding pictures to motivate you to get on the torch...

4" x 14 GA. 304L
Miller maxstar 150, touch start, 3/32" 2% thoriated
Outside is buffed, inside fully purged.

Spitting out some 3d printed mock pieces of sch10 pipe for helping me spit out a manifold. They all snap together too. Not my design so I can't take credit for it.
Would anyone be interested in a small kit that consists of 15*, 45* and straight sections? I have a 90* but it doesn't print so well so just snap (2) 45* ones together

I really like the idea and would be interested at a later date but for now, I still have to relocate and then acquire a welder :ohdamn:

Nothing amazing but I just received my new pyrex welding kit and thought i would try it out. So far i like it, gas coverage is great just have to get used to making it pre flow gas first before i arc up as it gets delayed due to the design and it dont like to weld nicely for a split second!
My machine at work is old and out dated so no pre flow but my machine at home has pre flow or something like a time delay on the HF start or something! I remember reading something on it but ive only used that a few times aswell haha.

The item is to bolt to a window, we do some small items for this chap but its not what we normally do!

Tried my first time tig welding last night. This is my 2nd attempt at welding aluminum. Going to be practicing a lot going forward so I can get some items fabricated for my own car. I definitely need work at feeding the filler which you can tell towards the end when it got short.

6061 .065" pipe
ER4043 3/32 filler and red 2% tungsten.

Going to give SS a shot tonight with 1/16th 308L. I don't really know enough to stress about what i'm doing wrong just yet. Definitely a learning experience...

Clean the material with acetone before you weld. For stainless use lots of argon, depending on cup size you could go up to 30cfh with a 12 or 14 cup
Thanks for the advise. I will use that and probably go up a cup size for sure. This was on a 7 that came with the machine.

Scott, what power supply? Thoriated (red) tungsten isn't really the best for aluminum really ever.
220v. It's an inverter based machine so I can't use pure green.

Which inverter?
Red works well on aluminum.
The older stuff works the best but the current red stuff you buy still works good
