$200?

Ran for two summers, no passes, only dd'ing, roughly 10k km. Both were brand new. 6-puck held like a champ! Only switched because I couldn't sell the southbend disc I had, so I bought a southbend PP to use it.

Alright, I'll have to see. Right now I don't have any spare cash but after harvest I should.

I could just toss it to you for now and pay me back later. Would rather see it get used than collect dust on my shelf. I was contemplating putting it in the winter beater but I think that project is delayed until renos are done.

I'm in now hurry, I won't be touching the car till spring probably so it'd just be collecting dust here too LOL

Sadly no forged internals for me yet, I was going to buy the CP pistons Ziggy had for sale if my block was able to stay at 85mm, but alas they're sold. A CP/ Eagle combo would have been decent for sure. Either way tho I've got a mk4 supra to save up for LOL, Talons getting a new engine and possibly ECMlink if I can swing it then that's it until the mk4 comes.
I had a "teary" good bye with my mk2 supra 2 weeks ago she'll be missed like crazy. Can't wait to get another mk2 some time.....

I agree with starting a FB group....maybe I'll actually use facebook then.
Hey Andrew I keep forgetting to bring by those axles for you, do you still need that dipstick as well? My truck broke down today (AGAIN!) so I'm home tomorrow possibly, I'll probably be busy this weekend as the timing components finally came in for my golf today so its on the chopping block asap.
I'm expecting to hear back from the machine shop soon about the condition of my block, if I can get away with just honing it then I'll be in the market for a set of good used 6 bolt pistons if anyone has some laying around they're willing to part with for cheap?? I'd really like to knock the $1500 build down at lest $100 haha

I have a couple blocks sitting around you could pull the pistons out of if you think they're worth using.

Harvest hasn't started for me yet. It was so dry in May/June crops were slow out of the ground and then with all this rain it's still quite green.

No, thankfully I didn't have to reseed anything. All I put in was 200 acres of barley and some oats for green feed.

well I finally got my new pistons from RTM. Dropping them off at the machine shop along with the crank first thing tomorrow morning. Should be working on assembly by the 15th ish and it'll be good bye 7 bolt!

Nice, which machine shop you using?

Hey guys. I saw on here someone may have been looking for a 6 bolt engine. I have one out of a 91 tsi awd sitting around collecting dust. It was running when I took it out of the car 2 years ago. Been sitting in the garage ever since. It's does not have a valve cover and is missing few minor parts on it (a banjo fitting for a coolant line, timing gear cover). It has the alternator, turbo, and intake manifold on it still. I had plans of building it into a stroker but have just kept putting it off. For the right amount I'd be willing to sell it. Let me know if you are interested or have any questions.

I would have been interested a few weeks ago but as i now have a full bottom end at the machine shop ive gone to far to make your offer a viable option. How long has the vc been off the engine??

A few years ago I took my cylinder head to Northside Engine on faithful and they did a good job. My buddy also took his 6G72 heads there and they're going strong, and when I worked for my neighbour all our cylinder heads off diesels went there too. Never had a block done, but they've done good with everything else so far.

Biggest thing I think it having the pistons there and telling them what you want your clearances and then they shouldn't have a problem and you've done that so you should be good to go.

oh no, how'd that happen?

The guy I had planned to buy it from decided him and his friend would work on it... Some sort of electrical fire... Not clear on the details... Just in my own opinion I find it odd... As it sat for 2 years, then 6 months at a friends house. then moved it.. 2 weeks later it's gone..

He had said something about wishing it would burn.. guess wish's come true..

Guess im kinda glad I didn't buy it now..
