Nice bro. What rpm do you shift at? I have nlts set to 6k and works really good there. Just depends on what rpm you shift at and how fast. You don't want it to drop down to far or you just loose all your boost. I would watch and see where it dipped down to and was right around 6k for me. The higher you can keep the better just have to shift fast and keep that peddle mashed :).

Running 35psi i was dropping down to 10 or 11 after my 1st to second and second to third. I have my boost turned like all the way down in first and second. It will spike to 30 then drop to like 22 a couple times in 2nd. My 3rd to 4th will drop to like 18 psi. Biggest thing ive noticed is my rpms will drop down to like 4500 from my 2nd and 3rd shift. Maybe im shifting a little early or does that sound normal? Rev limit is 7200.

Are you using the upper or lower switch on the clutch pedal? I prefer the lower switch since it keeps the power on a little longer and brings the power back in a little quicker. I typically see .3 second shifts.

I personally have found the upper switch to be quicker. As soon as I barely press in the clutch I can knock it out of gear without the clutch. Then its one quick movement to press the clutch in and drop it into the next gear. My logged clutch times in link are .26-.28.

They also didnt even put any water down so couldnt do a good burnout. What kind of tire psi yall running?

What kind of tire are you running? A street tire? If so, you don't want to go through the water and do a burnout, as that will only hurt your traction with a street tire. The only thing you want to do with a street tire is a dry-hop where you just spin them real quick without going through the water. Just enough to scuff them up and clean them real quick is all you wanna do. Again if it's a street tire you can lower the pressure a bit, but you can't go crazy low like a slick.

How do you calculate the logged clutch time? Do you measure the time by clutch switch?

I'm running qtps at about 11psi.

Yes that's how I'm timing it.

Bought myself a FWD laser (1993), haven't been on here in years. Are any of you guys running AWD cars (albeit with a FWD trans or AWD trans in FWD mode? (IE only powering the front wheels)?

I'm doing a first gear burnout for about like 5 to 10 sec. For sure bro get it going.

Try 2nd gear, it allows you to get more wheel speed and do a better longer burnout, get those suckers sticky LOL. always worked better for me and how I got to 1.7 60' :) are you launching with 2-step and any boost? just need Pistons and rods and I can assemble the block ;)

You just start in second gear? Yeah I was launching on the 2 step at 5000 rpm. It was hooking pretty descent in first spins way more in 2nd. I'm guessing because I'm off the treated part of the track by then. Not building much boost. Maybe a pound or 2 on the 2 step. I'm sure I could launch a little higher or get on the 2 step sooner. My nlts was at 5500 too. I'm going to try uping that aswell.

Ya bring your Rpms up to your 2-step and dump that Clutch in 2nd. Will give you a longer and faster burnout and get them hotter and sticker. I know my last setup made half the power you are but it really works well. I have mine set at 5250 and nlts at 6k and was launching with around 8-10psi boost. If your shifting into second after the 60' mark or just at it your getting the times you need to get a low 12's high 11's pass. You really need to practice those nlts shifts and hiting the gears clean and fast. Practice on the streets if you can and get used to leaving your foot down. Your killing it from 1st to 2nd letting boost drop off so much. For me getting this timing down was the diff from a high 12 to a low :)

I've got the leaving my foot down solid. My tranny isn't letting me shift any faster. It's dragging a Lil bit. I think I need to practise a Lil more, set my nlts higher, 2 step higher and work on my tune. I'm running high 10 low 11 afr on e98. I'm just not very good tuning yet. I'll work on it. I think when I get the tune better everything will come together.

Bringing this back from the dead for a quick question.

I am looking for spline count, diameter, anything really to identify 90-91 AWD front axles to do ELH mod with. I have a few sets of 92+ here, but nothing in the earlier years to go off of. If someone could post some of this info that would be great!

Another FWD here. I have often thought about parting with it for a AWD but having owned this car for so long it has played such a big part in my life. I have gone through many ups and down but my Eclipse has always been good to me. I fear if I sold it for a AWD it will never be the same.

I'm building both. My FWD car is nearly complete (aka no more upgrades that I **want to do to it) and my AWD car is going to be an auto monster. I hope to run low 9's and I know that's a lofty goal for someone that doesn't have a whole lot of track experience but I believe I've pieced together the setup that can do it. I just need to buy the ecu I want and decide on which turbo to use. I have an s366 but I think I'm going to use something else/newer.

I have a set of 1991 AWD front axles I can get a spline count and measurements for you tomorrow (5/5/16)..

Update one the axle size for 91 AWD 1/2 shaft. They are 25 spline. I tried to get a measurement but my digital caliper is dead. New battery will be here Friday, I'll update this post with measurements..

On another note: Got my wheels today for my slicks! Here's a link to my post about them in the handling forum..

Got it all figured out! Was just trying to piece my equal length axles together. Looks like I have the right stuff. :)

Got my car out to the local track Saturday. Still have a lot of work to do on my 60ft. Got in 7 passes and was able to set new PB.
