I pulled the seats out of my '99 10th Anniversary Edition Eclipse the other day. After unbolting, when I pulled up on the drivers side seat, it wouldn't come. I looked closer and that's because one of the two wiring harnesses was actually plugged into the seat.

When I reinstalled the seat, I left it unplugged. Was there a reason it was plugged in? A safety thing with the air bag? Were all manual seats plugged in like this from the factory? I'm 99% sure these seats had never been taken out before...

If the wires are yellow and black, then it is the seat belt buckle switch.

If the wires are red and black, then it is the power seat assembly.
