I expected to have to fight this catback system but I was wrong. I pulled off the factory catback and found that on step 1 the catback failed out of the box.

It appears their quality control completely skipped on drilling out the bolt holes to the catalytic converter. The cat back will not fit on the exhaust studs, not even close. The exhaust gasket supplied with the kit won't fit, and the exhaust bolts are much too small

I started after sun down and it was after 10:30 pm and I didn't want to wake the neighbors with my dremel.

So I pulled off my exhaust for nothing, this crap doesn't even fit on the bolts for the cat. Filed a claim on amazon ticked off to work for nothing

Beware of this brand

I don't mean to be that guy, but what did you expect for a little over a hundred dollars? If it fits with minor modifications that doesn't sound the worst.

Its ok to be that guy, my dremel should take care of the flange pretty quickly.

And $110 shipped for a 3 inch is still a great deal. However I just wanted to specifically list a brand with known poor fitment

In real life, you couldn't even buy materials to build your own for $100 bucks...Not to mention the seller probably paid 20-30 bucks to ship it to you. I supposed this is why the Chineese are winning ROFL

How's the fitment of the pipes themselves on the car? Do the hangers line up?

I can't hang the exhaust because it won't fit on the cat. Looks pretty similar

The bends are in the correct places, the hangers look like they need to be bent to get them to fit correctly. Oh and the exhaust did not come with mounting bolts for the hangers and the factory bolts are bigger than the bolt holes on the exhaust.

So I should be able to get everything lined up with minimal effort. I plan to use zip ties to hold the exhaust on the rubber hangers as I line everything up

I was more frustrated that I couldn't get it done last night for a really stupid reason and my dremel on those stainless pieces would have woken the neighbors

I left a review on the same seller for that exhaust already... Fitment was garbage, but what can you expect for that price? I ended up taking it to an exhaust shop to get fixed.

Did your mid pipe atleast bolt to the cat?

The curves and length of this exhaust match the factory path and side by side are very similar. The exhaust hanger brackets are pretty far off, so I will loosely thread the pipes together and hang them loosely by zip ties tightening each section slightly more each pass to evenly apply pressure

Yes, but the axle back did not line up at all. No matter how much I adjusted, it just wouldn't go at all. I would just take it to an exhaust shop so they can cut and weld it correctly.

I bought a full 3" turbo back, cat-less, with "muffler", hardware/gaskets included. Sure, it was a struggle but everything fit and the hangers were mounted perfectly. I didn't pay over $200 shipped. Found it on ebay a couple years ago. Current condition? Nearly rust free! This thing is built very well and it's a no-name brand.

I would offer to sell it to you but it's getting hacked up and pie cut/welded for my new exhaust. 3" and no more than, idk, 2 ft long total? It's gonna be a loud SOB, especially with an open dump pipe. Around 35psi when that wg opens? Idk.......might be a little TOO loud.

My full exhaust sounded every bit as good as ANY name brand exhaust clip i've heard in any video. It's a 3" piece of pipe all the way back with a resonator and a can at the back. Very deep sounding.

I don't understand what's going on here? I mean were to begin....... You ordered a an item from an unknown seller/no history with the DSM community, at the fraction of what it should of cost, and your upset that it was a fraction of what it should have been? This community is about modifying and advancing a plat form we love, guess what man it comes with the job.

You should have supported real DSM vendors instead of the Chinese. Every time you buy fake crap, real vendors that carry the good stuff, have to raise prices. Such a shame.

By your own logic you should never buy or sell used car parts.

So does anyone want to know that it was a direct bolt up after I drilled out the fittings on the part where it bolts to the cat or do you want to hear more people moan about their $$$ exhaust system

Fitment looks pretty good. The tailpipe looks like it might be positioned a bit low, but otherwise not bad. Did all the hangers line up as well?

What did you come up with for hardware?

Yeah the muffler sits a little low right now. I will have to play with the back exhaust hanger bracket in a few days after the system goes through a few heat cycles and re tighten everything as well.

The factory exhaust hanger bolts threaded into the exhaust system with a little effort. The exhaust system came wrapped in bubble wrap and I used that to cushion the exhaust system while I moved it into position for the hangers with the floor jack

For the install loosely thread the connecting bolts on the system so that they are just barely threaded to the nuts. Work your way from the catalytic converter back to the muffler. After the system is loosely bolted you will want to tighten the connecting bolts. The hanger brackets should be the last items to be installed, and I believe this is where most people mess up. Get the system bolted tight and then use the floor jack with the bubble wrap on the end to move the exhaust into position for the hangers
