You can see this bad boy a few times in the episode making hot laps :D I happen to know that one of the video crew members has a 91 Talon, so it might explain why there were a bunch of shots of a DSM in there :D

Saw that earlier, so cool to see LOL. Wonder if they actually managed to find a turbo model for 500 bucks?

I think freebie's don't count against the rules. So in theory all they had to do was find a cheap ass gutted 2G AWD or FWD turbo shell, and swap in all the extra parts they had laying around. I know people who have several blocks, transmissions, wiring harnesses, turbos, injectors...basically enough stuff to build a couple DSM's from scratch. Wouldn't really be hard for a DSM'er. I know of one guy on DSMTalk who participated in the 24 hours of LeMons in his 1G several times. Could be the same guy just upgraded to a 2G.

Lol that's a convenient loop hole. It looks mad fun to do, would love to do that one day. My pride as a DSMer would demand that I place well. "So you say that dogbox was included with the car right?" "Yes, yes sir it was".

LOL. "Dude, really? You're telling me you were just given a long-rod built 2.4, twin-scroll top mount, this large twin-scroll turbo, AND a dogbox?" "...yes?"

Yeah, that whole $500 thing is just a guideline and everyone knows it. :D As long as you sign off promising you only spent $500 to buy the car you're good to go. Everyone know you end up spending thousands of dollars anyways to get the car track ready. I really want to do this, looks awesome.

In that case...official DSMTuners LeMons car? Would be awesome to get the whole forum involved and have everyone choose the suspension, turbo, etc.

"Blowe's" Nice one, guys :)
There is also a blue 1G in RK's Alaska video. Or at least it looked like a 1G.
Yeah there is also a light blue 1G in the Ranchero Alaska ice racing episode. Looks like a well taken care of 1gb GSX. AWD for the ice racing, there is also a nice Evo (7 I think) in the same race. Love the DSM/Evo community man, we always represent.

91!? Don't you mean a 1990!? ;)

So, uh, yeah, head editor of Roadkill checking in here. Glad you liked the episode! I made sure to slip in more than a couple of shots of the Blowe's car as you pointed out. That was an insanely fun episode, one of my favorites. It was hell to edit though, with DAYS of footage and an insane amount of camera angles and audio tracks. It nearly killed me but I'm happy with the final product. The internet seems to be happy with it too, which is good!

I'm sure you caught this since you knew a crew member has a talon, but you can catch a glimpse of my car in this Hot Rod Garage Episode at the 21:13 mark:

I'm sure I speak for us all when I say we all greatly appreciate your efforts both with the show and looking out for our community man. That's so sick to know that a DSMer has such a key position in the Roadkill production LOL.

Thanks man! That means a lot! Roadkill is definitely a passion of mine, and cutting together the episodes is no easy task due to the show being legitimately real and not scripted. They often don't even know what they're going to be doing until they're actually out in the field. I used to shoot and edit videos for Hot Rod Magazine's youtube channel before Roadkill was even a thing. Basically, the road trip videos we made evolved into Roadkill when we started our original programs on the Motor Trend channel. For the first year or so I was directing/shooting/editing RK, but it's grown past what just one person can do. Currently I primarily edit RK, but from time to time I get to go out into the field to shoot aerial shots with our Inspire 1 and Phantom drones. You'll see a *lot* of aerial footage in the upcoming General Mayhem Hellcat episode (it's currently on the on demand channel and will be hitting YouTube a week from tomorrow.

Thanks again for your comments! It's so amazing to be a part of something that so many people love and enjoy so much.

Love, LOVE, LOOOVE Road Kill. So much fun. So many shenanigans. Keep it up and need more episodes! I hate waiting!!

You think you could ever get the guys to do a DSM build?

These guys have already said it, but Road Kill is THE best thing on T.V. IMO even better than the UK version of Top Gear! Soon as I watch an episode, I just can't wait for the next! It's like crack! These guys get to seriously live my dream.

I think it goes without saying if "we" (The dsm community) could ever convince them to do a DSM build, oh sweet lord have mercy, that would be one for the ages!
