I have the stock maf on my car. When i first got the car i did not have the recirculation tube for bov. I tried to run car without it. So this leads me to my question. What could runing the car "vented" on a stock maf and maf placement cause? Could it ruin any sensors?

Basically running a non-recirculated system would make the ECU think there is more air coming in than there actually is since part of it will be dumped out before reaching the cylinders. This, in turn, would force it to spray more fuel and make the engine run rich. Running too rich is not a good thing for the motor and car's gas mileage.

Yes, there are ways to run non-recirculated, but it is far from stock.

I ended up finding the recirc tube and am curently using it. Im having a problem with going over half throttle. The car will build 5 to 7 lbs of boost up to half throttle when trying to go over half throttle it goes into a "limp mode" the last time i drove the car i was cruising along and all the sudden the cel came on the boost gauge quit working and the car died. Have had the trouble with wot since i got the car driving. Just wondered if venting bov could short out a sensor or something

Do a boost leak test. Sounds like you might have a bad connection somewhere in the intake that comes loose and dumps all the air out as boost builds.
I did a boost check awhile back but i did not spray down intake with soapy water to check it. Just went off of pressure it held. I will give it a good check and post results

Could this be why my car smells like it's dumping gas on deceleration? My intake pipe doesn't have provisions for a recirc tube or else I would have done it by now.

So i did a boost leak check and believe i found my issue. Found a hole in the innercooler. Was dumping a ton of air out. I have a diffrent inner cooler so gonna swap them and see what happens.. i got my fingers crossed

Awesome!!!! You still should get the recirculating tube. Even if you fix the intercooler you still will be running rich from the air not being there.

It has the recirc tube now didnt run it for more than a couple starts of the motor and a short drive. I am having a problem with the boost gage not working and the car will not run when this happens. My question now is what sensor or whatever runs the boost gage. Thinking it must be faulty
