Will a 7 bolt 4g63 alternator fit a 6 bolt 4g63 in my swapped 97 GST Spyder? Thanks

Although a 1G alternator will physically fit in a 2G, it will not work as the harness connector is completely different. Use a 2G alternator from a turbo model or the 2.4L Spyder in a 2G.

I thought the 6 bolt was from the 1g's. I have the 6 bolt in my 2g

The 6-bolt is from a 1G. But there were also 7-bolt 1Gs.

Either way, a 1G alternator will not connect to the 2G harness.
Okay, sorry one more question. What would be the best year to order the alternator from for the 6 bolt. Thanks

Do the higher amperage 96 Galant swap, that is what is on my '90 Talon and I love it. Complete plug and play and 90 amps, but wait, aren't you a 2G? It doesn't have the correct plug if you have a 2G as Brian points out.

The alternator from the 1996-1998 Galant 2.4L A/T will be a direct swap if you want an upgrade. The Galant came with a 90 amp alternator vs the 2g's 75 amp.
