What modern car is most comparable to a DSM? In other words what would you buy for a newer car?

Which car to get?

For that matter aside from supercars, what turbo AWD coupes ARE there? The only one I can think of is the Caddy ATS-V or whatever the hell that two door 2.0L AWD caddy is.

To bad you don't have cash, I would strongly consider selling you mine. It's just been sitting in a garage for nearly half of the last decade. Either I was in the Army, in Oklahoma, in Germany, or now living in Oklahoma for the time being until I can move back to GA. While the car has been sitting in GA. *sigh* I really think I might sell it since it's just sitting there.

I will sick DSMLoki on your ass if you even think about that ever again. :p

A c5 you mean? I don't have cash, but I think I should be able to get a loan. Depending on the features, mileage and overall condition I might be interested even. Although I'm not looking to buy quite yet, I want to free up the money going to my lease payments before buying something, or at least be a month or two out, I think I have about 9 or 10 months left now.

I am really not trying to be on an Audi kick on purpose but another car that caught my attention was the Audi s5. (prices kinda jump all over the place) Just throwing out ideas, after all, you have a little bit of time on your side.

When the time comes and whatever you decide... here is a great tool for searching

Just get a good low mileage 2002 vette and call it a day. I'm seeing them locally for decent prices. Hard to see a 13 yr old car go for 25k but there are better deals.
One i ran across askiing 17k and had 28k miles. Mint.
Saw one for 14k with about 80k miles but original owner and really looks sharp. Mechanically fine. You'll be hard pressed to find a beat up vette.

2016 base camaro is a 2.0 turbo 276hp I believe. Something to think about as well since like someone else said, new cars are easier to get a loan for.

Those are about $50,000 out the door in turbo awd trim.

The base 228 is a turbo 4 cyl now, and they've been running mid 13s stock. They start at $34,850 with AWD. Even the 235xi, the AWD 6 cyl version you're probably thinking of, starts under $50k. I'd take either version in RWD, though.

Hmm, the 228i is pretty appealing, a little pricey though, and its a little on the heavy side though(impressive weight distribution though), I was thinking you'd be missing out to buy that instead of the 235i, but the 235i is about 200 lbs heavier, and doesn't come with a manual. But its definitely got my attention, I think the 2 series is an all new model isn't it? Came out within the past year or two I think? I had heard of 2 series, but didn't know any details till now. Anyone have any idea what the aftermarket is/will be like? I've never messed with BMWs, I know the 3 series are quite popular and probably have good aftermarket. Looks like I'll have to go german if I go for awd turbo coupe. I wonder how the 228i xdrive and the tt compare.

Realistically, all bias for or against aside, how expensive are BMW's to own and maintain? What are you going to pay in insurance a month for full coverage on a brand new BMW?

Honestly I think that would deter me from buying a BMW. I hate working on german cars and they are a nightmare in costs to repair/maintain. I swear the Germans made them a PITA to work on, because they lost WWII and want to get back at us. :p

Fiesta ST
This is mainly because I don't like you choices and owned one of them. (Gen Coupe):p

2008+ cts-v coupe. Looks sick, interior is amazing, for 600 bucks you can get the pulley upgrade jit that will take your stock car to a safe and reliable 600+hp. Not really similar to a dsm but awesome none the less. Would just have to look around for a good deal on one because there resale value is rediculous.

It'll also be over 40k. That's out of scope.

The Focus RS is exactly what everyone has been wanting. It should decimate all after release.

Not according to the poll, for every 1 person that wants the rs 3 want a raliart/evo. And I'm just curious what do you think makes it so much better than the Mitsubishi and Subaru offerings? To me it's just better looking...

He prefers domestics. We all have preferences, but his are definitely domestics. Take his "this domestic is a million times better than this Honda" with a grain of salt.

Still though, he's an awesome guy. None of us are perfect. :p ;)

Leaked price was 34k i believe. They are saying 35k at the moment. Where did you get this 40k+ number from?

Evo's are gone...done...game over man. That poll is also only 20 people out of 300+ million in this country. The US has been wanting this car forever.

Lol, but with the evo gone what competition will it have? 300+ hp turbo awd hatch back with a drift button. As long as they dont limit production the thing should be wait listed.
