ok guys I'm having issues with my link not connecting to the car. It keeps saying no response received trying to connect. I've tried 2 diff laptops, I've downloaded all the latest updates and drivers, the little green light on my cable blinks when plugged into the USB port but it still won't connect. This is just baffling me because when I first got the car about 5 months ago I wanted to see if the link was all working and in good condition so when I got the car I did hook the link up and got everything to connect and sync fine I even set the 2 step and had that working and now I try to use the link and it won't connect at all. I don't kno where to go from here I've looked at the wiki looked on the link web page and still I can not figure this out. I need some help here guys and when the cable is plugged into the laptop I went to the device manager and the computer recognizes the cable. Now a few times when I downloaded the drivers I had to extract the files then when done I would get a message that says The requested operation requires elevation I don't kno what's up with that but I need some help here I need to get my link up and running

Ok guys I was about ready to pull my .45 out and put a hole through the ECU until I started messing around with the cable. I kno this link I have was bought around the time they just came out with the v3 so I think I have one of the older cables....well I started wiggling the cable around while it was trying to auto connect and I got it to connect by moving the cable around in certain spots but I can't get it to stay connected bc of the cable and it seems like the cable is malfunctioning right at the end of the little box that the green light is on on the USB end of the cable. So needless to say I kno what my problem is...now I wanna find out if I have to buy a new cable or if they will replace it for free if I pay the shipping and send my old cable back bc that would be awesome on ECM links part!!!

I have a similar issue once in a while. I keep getting "Unable to connect to port" or something along them lines. I just have to wiggle the connection at the OBD port and it will connect.
