Good evening everybody. So here is the latest of the never ending projects with my 97 gsx. I noticed one day i was pushing coolant to my overflow and i was leaking antifreeze so i knew the headgasket was no good. When i bought the car, the seller included another complete head (BC Cams, retainers, springs, SS valves) so I figured, hey this would be the perfect time to do this. So i did....
Before i started the job i want to mention that the car ran great, i actually pulled it into my garage. I did the usual timing belt stuff, TDC the motor/head, all that good stuff. I put the new head on the car, put the new timing belt/ tensioner, and kept all of the timing marks on point. I pulled the pin, did 6 complete rotations, grabbed something to drink and came back, everything still was in line....
I finally put everything back together, and here comes the moment of truth. I crank the motor and the car never turns o. I checked my wires/ spark plugs and everything looked good. I checked all the sensors i unplugged and everything was plugged in. Which leads me to believe i maybe did not put the Cam angle sensor correctly in the new head? The car just cranks and stays cranking strong, but never starts. My FPR shows pressure, so fuel isnt the issue. Does anyone have an idea on what this might be?
P.S - I checked the timing marks so many times, thats its embedded in my brain. Everything was in line.
