This is something more of us need to do. Motoiq has everything wpc treated, pistons, rings, cylinder bores, bearings, cams, transmission and differential parts. I'm sold on it only downside is it's a little pricey but not when you consider how much longer certain parts can last ( they say the clutch plates in their lsd last 50% longer).

Yeah just got back all my transmission parts I will be finally putting this thing back together tomorrow with the Cryo-treated, wpc treated gears :D I am the R&D.
@keltalon, what did it cost you to have your cams done?
cams 75.00 each
gears 25.00 each

I will post some pictures of the gears and shafts.

So can this stuff be done on things like turbine shafts and hot areas? Seems like a cool treatment

Awesome. Im going to consider it now. Just a shame it means sending my parts away and delays the turbo build but i guess im not needing it till next year so..... Why am i in a hurry LOL, i shall message them on their page

I wonder if this can be applied to wheel bearings???

That's a very cheap price if it can make components last significantly longer.

wow, looks like WPC coating has been around for awhile too, I can't believe this is the first time I've heard of it.

I found a price sheet, dated from 2011, i posted it below. Compared to what keltalon paid it looks like price's have changed or they may of hooked him up because he sent in multiple parts.

You'll probably have to call or email WPC on that one. They have hub bearings listed at the bottom of the price sheet, with a price of "TBA". I could imagine cleaning the shot peening media from the bearing would be time consuming and a PIA.

Have you priced out steel-caged ceramic bearings?

Well I did send in a good bit of stuff to be treated some for future use like a oil pump case , gears and race shaft. I am very impressed with the feel and appearance of everything I have had done thus far.

Any reason the ring gear and one shaft was REM/ISF treated versus WPC you had done on the other gears and shafts?
I had everything rem finished I only had those parts that were known to break cryogenic treated and wpc treated. I had needle bearings and hd hub slider 3/4 wpc treated also.
