Hello all, I am going to document my rebuild of a car that has been sitting for ~12 years. Not only has this car sat for a very long time but it was someone elses project that never got completed. I am finding some old parts that are bringing back serious nostalgia from my first DSM (1997, so old). It also has a body kit, I do not care about the body kit, I just want it to run.
This is the first of two cars that have been sitting in a pool house for a very long time that I am going to try to get running.
It has been a long time since I've put some serious work into a DSM so this should be fun.
Here are some pictures.
Seeing light for the first time since 2003. The car had so much dust on it and no brakes so moving it was daunting.
This is the car firmly secured in the trailer, just loading up the boxes of random parts.
This is the 2.4l that will eventually power this car.
The Talon finally in my garage and facing the right direction, doing this took 10 hours thanks to no brakes and me by myself.
The current 7 bolt engine that is in the car and the random wires and probes that I will have to deal with.
